I hope they are here for years to come!!! I see so many interesting personalities here. There is seldom a dull moment! I am crossing my fingers, eyes, toes, arms and legs that they remain a place for us to kick back and enjoy all things QVC, and then some.😁
Even the contentious posts and posters are sometimes amusing.😂 You never know what you are going to read. I sooo enjoy watching verbal volley as contrasting opinions are expressed, as long as it is respectful of another poster's point of view!😊
When I see certain names I know I am going to enjoy their post, and a smile or chuckle will be forthcoming.😁 Several tickle my funny bone so hard I cry. While the stories of heartache expressed by others touch my heart strings and I cry; just call me SandySofty.🥰

I sure hope the forum remains because I gain information on items I am interested in here. I am a buyer here as is my daughter, especially fashion and beauty items. I do not purchase food or household items because I do not need anything or I am uninterested.

I hope the forum stays on. I learn alot from all of you and hope that what I have to say helps some also. I miss people who have left , but, thank you QVC for keeping the forum going so far for 2023.

When they announced they would be closing the forums, I believed them. I truly thought they would be gone.
I am happy that I was wrong and that the powers that be decided to keep them open. I do not, and will not be doing Facebook. I also use the Proboards and really like it. I know many say they will not go there and I would miss some of our posters if this forum closed.
I will continue to post, read, and enjoy both forums as long as they are here for me!

I for one am surprised that the forums are still open. Especially after the unkind hateful posts about the host that is taking a leave of absence. I was expecting these forums to be gone soon after.
Since lots of posters here say they dont watch or order from QVC anymore and ones that say they are stopping. The constant complaints about service and shipping. The ugly posts about hosts and when something goes wrong the rude posts to customer service. Also the bickering between posters. I am mystified why they bother to keep them open.
Since before Christmas I have tried to be more selective about the posts I read and/or continue to read when they turn into bashing, fighting. I was surprised at the limited number of positive posts that I had to choose from.
I enjoy it here, I learn a lot and enjoy the pictures posted, etc. and the posters themselves.
I do hope they continue to keep the forums open.

@Imaoldhippie Free speech is fine,but posters who say truly hateful things about hosts should be banned. Now, I don't mean if it's mild criticism like "another happy dance" or "her daughters again?" Those things might generate a brief chuckle from me. I don't know what was said in the example you gave, but to harshly judge appearance, beliefs or race should not be tolerated.

I think they glean enough information about customers likes or dislikes of products, also what they would like to see (ie: more colors, different sizings, the fit etc) that it is worth them keeping that info all on their own site.
Sending people to other social media pplatforms just makes more work for them and also the customer.
Also, along with product conversation, there is also other sub-boards here that provide social interaction for lots of people who would otherwise not have any social interactions. That is a benefit to them because it makes people appreciate QVC.
There are trolls and hateful people on every single platform, all over the internet. Can't get away from it. At least the Q can delete hateful posts and not have them be on platforms they don't control.
I hope they keep them. It is so much easier to get product reviews before purchasing by staying on the same site, rather than having to go to another platform. If people have to go elsewhere to get opinions on a product they may not come back and buy. Here, you can just jump over to these boards, do a quick sweep of posts, and go right back to your account if you find good reviews and you decide on the fly to make the purchase.
Those are the benefits I see that make it a good thing to keep the boards. Feedback and knowing your customer is very important. The demographic the Q services is an older one and they know that. Older people are not apt to being searching all over the internet for information.

200 members is very few. Are we helping QVC sell much? It doesn't appear many members are interested in what QVC sells at this time along with quite a few annoyances. There is a lot of talk about other retailers.
It's obvious, no one at QVC is interested in what we say, so I'm thinking the Forum staying is very sketchy. I don't know and can't predict either.
I could be wrong. This is just a guess. The 200 members that you show online could be just the people that are actually logged in. The others are pursuing the threads and may log in just when they comment if at all.
