Not meant to be a serious title. But definitely a curiosity [to me].
I've noticed lately QVC has been using the hosts in an expanded marketing strategy:
Just interesting, that's all.

I think they're just starting to wake up and realized the opportunities they've been missing. Hosts are wearing Q clothes and mentioning it during a presentation. I just saw Sandra mention her blazer on a Slatkin show. I've seen David, and last night with Steve, showing some shoe they were wearing.
Now if we could just convince them to show coordinating pieces on an item's description page.

I would never want to be a show host. I would not want to post on social media all the time and I would never want photos of my home, inside or out, to be on QVC's website. How they decorate their homes, what they personally wear, where they go on vacation, what their families (daughters, ugh) are doing - I DON'T CARE.

I guess QVC wants them to become "influencers" whatever that is--LOL!!

Just like some of us in here ask about a certain item on of the hosts was wearing, or even home decor items on a stage set, etc. I'm sure there are people calling QVC and asking CS something like, "I noticed the host wearing a heart necklace when she were presenting the Skecher sneakers." Is it sold on QVC. They probably get tons of calls like that, so why not take advantage of advertising more things before the items even come on air. Makes good marketing sense to me.

What's old is new again. Years ago some of the hosts used to welcome the viewer into their homes occasionally. Lisa Roberts over the holidays and I can remember Mary Beth's interior home shots, too. Also, back in the day, they would let you know what item number the host was wearing. Or you could call the CS and they would have this information on hand. Different management takes the company in different directions. I like the current direction.

My plumber told me at his daughter's 5th (or 6th) grade promotion ceremony, they interviewed the kids on stage. He said almost ALL of them said they wanted to be an "influencer" when they grew up.
Whereas kids in other countries want to be architects, doctors, lawyers and engineers, our kids want to post on social media. So very sad and troubling.

Yes, you called it right . The other night I watched abt 5 mins of a show with JT who went on a triade abt how she only buys QVC products and clothes . Yes, that was all abt being an " Influencer " .

Can you spell STALKER? Too much info is just not wise. Ask LR about that.

I have no desire to see or hear anything about their personal lives. There is already too much of it. If I watching, I'm shopping, and don't need to see hosts act like pre-teens and yakking about nothing....all instead of telling us about the product.
