Thanksgiving 5 Easy-Pay question

I really want to use my Thanksgiving 5 easy-pay deal but the item I want is $49!! Of course when you add in shipping and tax it is well over $50 but it won't let me use the 5 easy-pay coupon code online for this item. Do you think it is worth calling customer service to see if they can manually do it for me? Or am I just out of luck? It's something I really really want and I don't think I'll be buying anything else before Christmas so I'd like to use it. Has anyone else called in for something like this with good results?
