"Trying to gain favor?" For what purpose? What is this...nursery school?
How silly. So it makes one "on the take" to say something nice???
But that's what some posters have said, and what they apparently believe. Kittymom does not believe it; she was being ironic.
From the time the new forum sprouted and anyone expressed that they appreciated the moderators and/or the job they are doing, there have been those who insinuate or state that the only reason for this is to curry favor with the moderators, and they have also expressed this in grade school terms.
Not as much recently, because I think many have realized they're fighting a losing battle as far as hoping that what was done on the old forums can still be done on the new forums, in exactly the same way.

*looks at VaBelle35* Gimme them cookies!!! ![]()
In all seriousness, I think what I should have added is that I like all the communication that the moderators now have with the posters on this forum. Saying why a thread was deleted, explaining the rules, answering questions, saying when certain features will be added to the board in the future, trying to help posters who've had problems with their shopping orders, ect.
It's kind of like the forum moderators are now like working with customer service. More times than not, even if a product is lame, but the customer service is good, people will rave about the customer service and mostly continue to shop at a place if they're treated well.
I know the new board has had its issues and some may still not like it, and I understand that, but no matter where people go, they'll never find a perfect forum with perfect rules. Just gotta make due with what you've got and try to notice the good. For the most part, in my opinion anyway, there's been more good than not good on QVC's new forum.
Just my opnion.

NC Bandwagon, unfortunately, there are some who will never admit to what is good about the moderator communication with posters. The latest comments I've seen referring to posters who thank the moderators, like what they're doing, etc. are "holier than thou", "teacher's pets", and "brown nosing"... although for the life of me I can't see that those of us who feel the way you do get any special advantages. At least I haven't seen any evidence of it, and I believe there are some overactive imaginations at work. And now it's being said that it's causing an "us" versus "them" situation between posters. Seriously....
Just to inject a little humor into the subject:

No but there are some that seem to take issue with posters that have complaints about the errr 'new and improved' boards, almost to the point where they befriend the moderators. Personally, I think it's kinda creepy. Keep reading, you'll see for yourself.

Yes, the moderators are doing the job that eliminates the request for anyone needing an ignore function.

Oh please, we are not children. I think we all can sort out who we want or don't want to ignore.

I'm not really sure what you mean by that.
