Thank you QVC for fixing the online review problem

I think they heard us. The online reviews being inundated with negative comments about program hosts and vendors, and opinions from ppl who haven't purchased the product. It skewed many of the product reviews to 1-3 stars, totally unfair in many cases and unhelpful in all cases. In reality this has influenced my buying decisions negatively, because I couldn't get an accurate assessment of the product. Today I wanted to leave a good review for an item. The process has changed. Your review will not be submitted until you first submit a photo of the product. I love it! The annoying people who have not purchased can no longer leave stupid, rude, off topic comments 🤩

Vouldn't those people also submit a photo?  Don't understand.  Guess I won't be leaving any more reviews.  I wouldn't know how to submit a photo.

If a photo is "necessary" (and I submitted a review a few days ago--under the new format, no photo required), I won't be doing any more reviews.

 

I do agree that no one should be allowed to post a review unless they've purchased the product, and had it in their possession for at least a week. Nor should references to hosts be allowed.

 

ETA: @smoochy @D Kay  I just submitted another review--photo is NOT REQUIRED!

I don't think having to add a photo is the requirement I think we have to have had made the purchase.   I was alerted to this via another poster here.   That seems to be the case. I can only leave reviews linking via my order page and not the item listing page.

I don't see where anything has changed.  A reviewer can still write any nonsense that pleases her.

I've done 4 reviews in the new revamped review format, and did not have to leave any photos.  You have the option to leave a review, but it allows you to skip that portion.  

 

What I really applaud, similar to your opinions about the non-review reviews -- they actually add a phrase "verified purchase" next to a review.  I love that!

📸  I submitted a review earlier today.

 

Photos were optional, not required.

I just posted a review. 

 

There is absolutely no requirement to provide a photo.

 

And I did not.
