Text written on shoes?

Noticed that the words "slip in" is written on today's Skecher TSV and now watching a Vionic presentation with "slip-resistant" imprinted with 2 other logos on the outer sole??? Is this a thing now? I would never buy these because of that. The logo or brand name is expected but words describing the shoe printed ON the shoe like it's an advertisement? I can't be the only person that would not like that. None of my present shoes have writing on them other than a logo and so that's why I'm wondering why this is a thing. If I'm wearing a cool dress and pop on a casual shoe I certainly don't want "slip-in" printed on a shoe. Come on designers....seriously?

😹 😹 😹 I've seen people who have "left" and "right" handwritten on the soles of their shoes.

I hope they were double-checked for correctness before they wrote the words.

I noticed that too. I don't care for it. I think it's unnecessary.

I would not buy shoes with that kind of printing. I also don't like it when the brand name is blown up on the shoe. I'm not their billboard.
