Re: Tell Jill she is not the host

[ Edited ]

I find the complaints sooooo wierd! Courtney did not show frustration.

I watched tbe whole show. There is no script. Sometines two people are going to talk over each other in a live show. There is no rehearsal. I think they both did a great job.

Didnt get these negatives said about Jill at all.Now or before.

Uppity? I find her warm  and friendly actually

Condecending? Ive always found her super informative and creative in her suggestions.

Im kinda shocked how far apart my opinion is from some of these statements.

Tuned in for a minute with Jai. Courtney looks frustrated. Jill is taking over. She is not the host. Her role is to give pertinent product information.....not do it all.

@MUO  I understand and see what you are saying. I happened to click on the homepage and watched the JAI show for a few minutes. The vendor was coming off as vendor-zilla. lol

It is Courtney who comes off smelling like a rose putting up with it in a classy and calm manner. I love Courtney's style of selling. Calm and not frantic.

I also feel for Courtney having to deal with longtime hosts or ex-hosts, as the case may be and have them try to overpower and bulldoze her. IMO, it is them that come across as desperate and not Courtney. Courtney is an asset to the Q. Just my opinion.

Re: Tell Jill she is not the host

Actually it is great to have a vendor who knows exactly how to be a host as well, and so she is very respected by all the regular hosts, and can almost carry the show "solo."

Michele Lau is similar, as well as a few other folks who have now returned to the Q in a new capacity.

I watched the whole show, even though I do not wear silver, and the gold is extremely overpriced, but it all held my interest. The ladies were very professional, and the show flowed well.

I am glad Jill has found a new role that makes her happy and uses her skills.  I wish the same for all those in the working world!

Gosh thank you Queen of Shop. I watched for a few minutes and Courtney never spoke. She couldn't without interrupting. I agree she comes out looking very professional. This is just my observation and interpretation.

Another opinion.....

I watched Jill with Pat this morning and thoroughly enjoyed watching two pros presenting together. It was such a nice hour I kept watching! I rarely stick with a Q program anymore. Jill's style works just fine for me, especially when presenting jewelry. And Pat is one of the best.

After seeing this thread I watched a few minutes of Courtney and Jill and they were fine together! Courtney is naturally deferential but that's with any host/vendor she works with. Courtney has her own style and skill set. I love that she doesn't get silly and spin a tale but she's still charming and fun.
I think Jill, Pat, and Courtney are all very good at what they do.

Edit to add: Yes, I made a purchase. Win-win

Hmmm @MUO I’m wondering if I was watching the same show as you??!!??

Courtney did indeed talk she told Jill “Happy Birthday to your Mom”.

It’s my Birthday today too!! 🤗

AND I treated myself to my own Birthday gift by purchasing the Jai 14K Gold Box Chain Bracelet because I love my gold jewelry!

I could go on and on… since I enjoy watching and listening to Courtney and because I have an excellent memory!! 🤗🤗🤗

Re: Tell Jill she is not the host

jill knows more than any host about this line

so if you want to know about the line you'd be happy if she was doing the talking

but..........

if you don't like jill you'd be annoyed

@MUO

When QVC sold tons of jewelry &:had weekly gold shows, etc., the older hosts had extensive jewelry training & know more than the newer hosts who rely on vendors for info.

Back in the earlier days, hosts did jewelry shows alone with no vendors so they had to learn & know all about the jewelry they were selling & they did.

Jill would be one of these highly trained hosts as well as Mary Beth, Pat, Kathy Levine.

I say it's fine for Jill to do much of the talking.  She's  the one with most of the knowledge of the product.  It was wise of Courtney to let her talk without butting in.

It's a pleasure to watch a show with host and guest behaving so professionally  with no giddy silliness, or unnecessary chit chat.

Jill's  a pro and it shows.

Well said. I find Jill to be pleasant, warm and knows everything about the items she is presenting. I enjoyed the whole show!  No yelling, laughing and incessant talking about themselves or their children.

No need for the board police to come out and tell the OP to change the channel.
