I was next so someone in line at Target on Thursday, who had literally an entire cart filled with school supplies. Apparently the checker mentioned the tax free weekend and you could see the look of horror on her face. For whatever reason, I guess because she didn't want to have to come back and select all those items over again, she went ahead with checkout.

Tax free weekend can equal substantial savings for those who need items that fit their particular states criteria.  I'm not buying much these days but did order a Bob Mackie shirt which is on waitlist and tax was not included in my total.

Here in North Carolina, we don't get the tax free weekend anymore.  Our governor took that away a couple of years ago, along with everything else he could diminish for the NC citizens.
