I won't lose any sleep over it, but I did like having some advance notice of what the TSV's would be. And also kind of liked having the option of buying a day or two after the actual TSV day. But the majority of the TSV's haven't been very tempting in quite a long while so I guess it doesn't really matter that much either way.

It was nice while it lasted.  I don't think they did that for very long (at least in relation to how long I've been shopping with QVC), it might have been determined to be a test period all along.  There have been times when I did not buy the TSV then had second thoughts and wished I could order after the fact.  Or, ordered one and then thought "darn it, I should have ordered another".  Research on comparable items often doesn't work, since so many TSVs are QVC's own brand.  QVC will not push me into impulse purchases though, thanks to this dismal economy.  It used to be fun to get notifications of upcoming TSVs though, even if pre-ordering wasn't allowed.  Another thing I've noticed is that "waitlist" doesn't seem to be offered as often.

I have been shopping here since 2001 or so and I remember when the TSV was truly special.  It was always an item that seemed different (an item you couldn't necessarily find elsewhere) and at a great price.  I have no clue whether or not they are still going to be able to make their TSVs unique (somehow, I doubt it), but I'm hoping the prices are better.

I rarely buy TSVs.  They do have to be something I really need or want at a great price in order for me to make the purchase.  It doesn't matter to me if I don't know what it is in advance or if it's only available at that price for 24 hours.  I can do my research on the item in plenty of time to make the purchase.  More than likely it won't sell out before I see it anyway and I'm on the East Coast.

That being said, I have a feeling we're going to find out what the TSVs are before they are aired. There are some savvy customers of QVC who have a way of finding out.  The only difference is that we won't be able to order them in advance.  We'll see how this goes...

I personally don't care since I rarely order TSVs.  I do think it creates more interest especially in clothing items if everyone is guessing what it will be.   I don't think there's much suspense in knowing it will be a Dyson.
