TSV fairy lights ... $1.42 savings...c'mon Q!

I realized this AM my order for "amber" didn't go thru with my TSV order.  Of course, won't get the "$3 deal" ...

anyway, I wanted them so this morning I ordered.  C'mon Q $1.42 was the big savings on the TSV vs today.

I was surprised as I always thought it was a substantial amount off on TSV prices, although, I still saved because they were "free" shipping today.

@homedecor1  I would check out Pier 1 if you are looking for any red micro lights.  They are priced on clearance (in store and on line) for $1.28-$1.98 (5 foot or 10 foot), with timer.  Just search "glimmer lights".

I have purchased micro lights from Pier 1 in the past, and have been happy with them.

They don't have the fancy "dancing lights" options, but when listening to one of the presentations yesterday that they were using 4 sets of 3 on the driftwood wreath on set, I realized that it would be $100 just to add lights to that wreath and that was too expensive for me.

That paltry "savings' is quite often the case....especially with a lower priced TSV.  Not surprised at all.

About 3 or 4 years ago I waited too long to decide to buy a TSV and checked the price the following day. To my surprise it was less than $2 higher. Then I started checking once in awhile to see if I really was getting a bargain. Usually it isn’t much of a difference, especially when one considers the lost money if you return an item. Seldom does the TSV go directly to the QVC Price, instead it jumps midway to the Featured Price and can stay there for a long time, sometimes longer than a year. That’s why I take their claimed savings compared to the QVC Price with a grain of salt. Tell me what the price will be tomorrow, and then it’s an accurate reflection of savings. On some items I wait for reviews, especially helpful on shoes.

Macy’s got sued for advertising Martha Stewart products on sale and comparing the sale price to the regular price. Consumers pointed out that the items never were sold at the regular price, so the sale was a gimmick. Now they have to sell all items at the regular price for at least a few days a year in order to show the savings on the sale price. Pricing games are everywhere.

It's shocking to see the regular prices on items vs the TSV or One Day Only.  Sometimes it's really a good discount while other times it's miniscule and full charge for s&h.  We can read and see the prices!

Not only QVC and Macy's...the mighty Amazon does it too and plays games with thousands of items.....and Amazon says that customers just assume that Amazon has the lowest price and dont check prices.....(info came from an investigative report from a business journal)...........COMPARISON SHOP FOLKS!
