Has anyone seen the actual time alloted for TSV airing?
Most likely it varies.
There is usually several hour long programs and then pop up presentations.
There are so many options for viewing products other than live broadcast. In the old days if you wanted to "see" the vaccum you would check your printed program guide and find out when to watch. Or you could record a program for later.
Which lead to the ever asked question of why all the on air time for a TSV? My answer has always been that the vendor pays for time just like an infomercial (unless it's a house brand)

The TSV midnight presentations are usually 25 minutes and the length varies throughout the day. For example, the Bronze bracelet on Wednesday was shown from 12:00-12:25am ET and subsequent presentations were around 15 minutes.
If you're really interested in this then you can calculate the length of presentations now versus 10, 20, 30 years ago, for which there are clips and full hours on YouTube to view. A casual viewer would say that the TSV presentations are indeed longer, possibly because they have a smaller range of items to show so each is shown longer. They also place large order for TSVs, so they need longer presentations now to sell the amount they need to move.
