Re: TOO LONG OF A SPECIAL VALUE PRESENTATION

[ Edited ]

I agree with @Spurt . I've changed the channel several times today, just to find it's the same item being presented when I switch back.

I think that's why I love the Steve and Rosina presentation on Wednesday mornings and the Jayne and Pat presentation on Thursday morning. They go through several items in short order. Very watchable.

I agree.  A five minute presentation is all I need to know whether I want the product.

QVC is no longer expecting viewers to watch entire TSV presentations.  Most of these kinds of products are TSVs on weekends or holidays when people may be watching sports or other programs and channel surfing during commercials.  That's why they're long.  Marketing 101.

@Tori3569

But the risk they run is if they previewed something that will be coming up later in the show that you were really interested in, but the TSV "infomercial" took so long you lost interest and didn't stick around to hear about the item you really liked and may have purchased....there goes a potential sale

The longer presentation means a higher chance someone will see it when flicking through channels. That's not how I consume QVC ever, but it is the why they do it.

Yet once again, judging by their ongoing financial problems, what they're doing is pretty clealry not working very well.
