No longer true if you think about it:

Today's (not just today; will show up again if it's popular)

Special ( HARDLY EVER SPECIAL AT ALL!!!)

Value ( generally not; borderline value at best)

Someone get corporate on the phone so I can explain things to them.

It's all in what each of us thinks is value --that's very personal.  I assume that's why even though I don't want something, they sell thousands and thousands in one day.

I've ordered some TSV's that are costly - but they're also a value for what I want because elsewhere they cost even more.

If I were to talk to QVC executives, that's what I'd tell them.

I just feel when they make such large quantities of a product for a TSV that the workmanship just isn't there. The stuff is just slapped together to get it done and out of there.I guess it depends on what the TSV is to whether the quality and workmanship is there.I usually will not buy clothing or shoes that is a TSV.

The rare TSV (or indeed, any product) I buy from QVC has to either be unique (impossible or difficult to find elsewhere), a favorite product in a good combo, or any product that interests me that I know is a considerable saving.  Definitely not every TSV, but many really are unbeatable price-wise.

One recent example (leaving aside, of course, whether it's something you personally would/wouldn't buy) is the MicrodermMD machine. It sells for $300 everywhere else it sells. You can buy it from the company, from Amazon, or from other beauty supply places - for $300 or maybe $20 off of that. QVC sold it for half price - $150. You can't buy it for much under $300 anywhere else. And QVC's deal included an extra piece worth $35 above the price of the device. So yeah - there is still value to be had at QVC - for a few select items and in making volume deals with a few select companies.

But then they overcharge for most things, so it all balances out - for them, not us unfortunately.

To me it's the repeat TSV's from certain vendors. If you don't like a tsv, don't worry that vendor(s) has one monthly or every 2-3 months.

QVC talks about bringing in new brands, but they get little to no air time. It's probably why most don't stick around. IMO
