I don't know the incentive to promoting food products but I would think having the rep there to cut and serve should be sufficient.
Maybe it's time to send them bibs? Or gloves......
@katie1859 So what? You want to see food sitting on a table? In a store they hand you the food. On tv they try to show you the texture and the composition of the food. It would be odd to me to dissect it with a fork and knife and not appealing. Handling the food gives you a better sensory picture of it.
I think it's just hands and food possibly that turns you off. And as others suggested if I were you I'd sure keep away from the food shows. It must stress you out.

What bothers me more is how much they seem to waste the food. Do they really need to use (and destroy) so much of it? They say that they give it to the crew afterwards but who is going to eat a mushed up cookie that the host has been squeezing with their hands?

Yes, I hate to see hands on food during any food shows. Even professional chefs who use their hand when carving meat!!! Use a fork to hold the food, not your hands. It creeps me out(((((

muffins crumbling when the rep breaks them.
This is not a great way to entice me to buy the pork or muffins lol.
What IS your preferred way to entice you to purchase food from the TV? You only stated what doesn't entice you.

Processed, loaded with sugar salt and fat.
The average American diet.
Not ALL of it.

I have never and will never watch the food shows on QVC or any other shopping channel. Have plenty of other, more reasonable options elsewhere including neighborhood stores.

Me too! Been tempted to order all day. Just can't pull the trigger on 4 lbs for that much money. 😊
