They always mention throughout the day how many TSVs have sold.

Depending upon the item it can be 20,000 or 60,000 and some TSV sales have exceeded 100,000.

Re: THE DOWNFALL OF QVC

Hey Mr. W ! If you believe what you hear on the TV,I admire you. I I don't know but I've been told the true test of sales numbers is the quanity of returns. But,I know nothing about retail or sales.

In the past, it was very common for TSV's to sell in the 100's of thousands. Also, unlike today, TSV's were very special and exciting. Vendors paid attention to TSV's and made sure they brought something exciting. That's all gone. TSV's are usual w/o much of a special price, like $10. less.

The Q is keeping their head above water, but they're not special. I think they strive to do better in a backwards way. Giving something to customers will attract people. Giving something means offering special, interesting products at a price better than most and good hosts to sell with as much info as possible. No one cares to hear that everybody's prices are going up, while they are finding better prices elsewhere.

QVC should always have the BEST prices b/c, remember, there is no middle man and they're selling in thousands of homes. They should be the best retailers!

Some good points but remember. Being televised with lots of human capital is not cheap.
