The idea that the "downfall or QVC" has more to do with its hosts than with a changing market is ridiculous. QVC has declined in proportion to the growth of online sales, increasing television viewing options, the decline of cable television, the increase in streaming services, the proliferation of fast fashion, QVC's aging custormer base, etc.

Equity analysts currently forecast Qurate first quarter Earnings Per Share of $.04, generally in line with last year's $0.05.

I don't see the fiscal deterioration that others seem to, but we'll find out on earnings release day, May 8th.

@Justshop

Well said! Anytime I post on these forums, I sit back and just wait for the attack! Even, as you say, posting in a civil manner we are still subject to getting clobbered for offering an idea, thought or opinion. Not pleasant. Also getting very tired of the Host disappearing to run to another room to try on every piece of clothing and outfit! Tired of the family history dissertations as well. Time to start looking elsewhere to shop, where the Host doesn't think he/she are "Celebrities".

I totally agree with you about their pricing. $60 for a pair of Bermuda shorts from Isac? Don't think so. $60 for ONE top from Susan Graver . . . ridiculous!

Re: THE DOWNFALL OF QVC

[ Edited ]

Honestly,I do not understand the cheering on of the so-called Downfall of QVC.   What about all the employees who will lose their livelihoods their homes, their everything to say nothing about what QVC does for the West Chester and surrounding areas.

I get  that you don't like the prices - so shop elsewhere where you think you can get a better deal instead of bashing QVC on a daily basis hoping for its demise.

There are so many options to shop for clothes and other items online or in B M stores so just shop there for goodness sake

No. It is not.  The responses are well within the standard forum guidelines.

And then they'll wonder why the Forums are being shut down. What company pays to maintain an outlet for the permanently unhappy to bash and trash the company that gives them the free means to connect with other shoppers?

I'm surprised it's lasted as long as it has.
