The standards have definitely changed for any product we buy these days, from ANY retailer.  It's sad.  I don't know how anyone does business in this country with all the regulations.  All those silly rules give us "sub par" products.  Remember when appliances lasted for, what seemed like a lifetime?

I agree.  I'm wondering if extremely high end items are having this problem though?  Some how, I doubt it.
