This problem is pretty much device-specific and it's basically a result of the way the site loads the promotional banners at the top of the page. Honestly, I don't see them removing those banners so we're left to deal with this ourselves.
For those using computers (desktops or laptops), I'm pretty sure if you'll install at least one of the AdBlock and limited JavaScript blocking addons/extensions to your browser you'll see an improvement.
I have no "jumping" or "bouncing" with my Mac using Firefox, or Google Chrome, or Safari, but I do see this problem with my iPad 3 and iPhone 5 (iOS 9.0.2) -- and you can't install an AdBlock addon/extension for those. (For the record, some of this problem happens on other websites, too, and it's all a result of the way the software loads the pages -- it's not the speed of the page load that's causing it.)

That's a shame, dooB! It seems like we're, to some degree, back where we started for the people who use the iPads, etc, here. ![]()
I use AdBlock Plus with IE and Chrome but didn't realize that had any bearing on the content HERE. All I see is that green, narrow, QCard banner at the very top and then the usual QVC headings.
Do they do flash-banner ads here, now? If so, that's a shame. Those will turn me off every time.

@chickenbutt, It appears to me they use a combination of things. But the more I think about it I'm probably wrong about just the AdBlock. It appears to me it's not as much the AdBlock extensions that are helping -- the things like Ghostery, NoScript, ScriptSafe, etc., might be the ones helping to block the banners and assist the page loads. When I use those, I can block the green Q card banner and the secondary banner (the one which changes often but right now says "Limited Time! Shop Sale Prices on Top Tech & More >").
I need to play around with it more. It appears just using Ghostery helps quite a bit.
Some of the JavaScript is causing problems -- my guess, though. I'm not a web programmer. And the problem with that is we can't block JavaScript altogether if we want the site to work properly.

Those (the green & pink) are the only banners I see also.
I've been saying that there are some script problems, for a long time now, and nobody listens. Maybe they'll listen to you. ![]()

Hah!
I doubt that, chickie! I think I posted about it back when the new platform was launched, and a few other people did, but unless the tech support staff decide to chat with us I don't think anything will be fixed. As I said, other sites have this issue, too, and at this point my guess is they try to program for most devices/browsers/OS software and the most common settings and accept that some site visitors will have problems.

Yeah, when it comes down to it, I think that does make the most sense. I think they DID fix some of their script problems because many stopped having some of the weird error problems and such, although there are still some. Every now and then I get some weird error or occurrence but it's like less than one percent of the time for us, using laptops.
But, let's face it, when you're dealing with thousands of people or more you have to go for what works for the vast majority.
Of course it's easy for me to say because I don't use tablets . A screen smaller than 15" is just too small for my eyeballs, and an on-screen keyboard is just a no-go for me. ![]()

I have a laptop and my pages jump only on QVC! And it's not getting better.

Ditto and wanted to say hello to you! I had problems signing in and it took me forever to try to get it; ended up giving up out of frustration and started a new account, hence my signature line.
The jumping is ridiculous; other websites and forums do not do this, but it seems obvious we're stuck with this.

I haven't tried the Forums on my tablet, just this laptop, but I do know I hated using my tablet for the previous forums and used it for them only when Comcast was having trouble supplying me with WiFi. On my leptop, there is no jumping.
Also, I will say I now like the new Forums far better than the previous ones. I was days freom leaving altogether because of the repetitive ugliness. It's that kind of post that keeps ne from reading the posts so many places - especially ugly are newspaper posts - most of which seem to come from posters who don't even read the paper; they just post. Sort of ;like the psoters here who say they hate someone or something, but haven't purchased a thing in years.
Again - I like the new forums, QVC. Fix tech issues where they exist, but don't give in to the whining from posters who want to be crass or gross.

Oh I notice all right and it's driving me nuts. I have learned to sit still for a few extra seconds so all the jumping stops and I don't click on the wrong link because everything is still dancing on my screen. Grrrrrrr......... ![]()
