Still Frustrated With Delivery Process!!

I ordered the Dr. Gross Freulic Acid  serum. On 7/13 it was given to UPS. UPS did It’s thing & on 7/17 it handed the package over to my local post office here in New York. My local post office ended up routing the package to Connecticut!! Where it sat until today. Now it’s in New Jersey!!

I know it’s not QVC’s fault that the post office screwed up.But if they really want to improve on their delivery they should send their customers packages via UPS directly . This middleman stuff causes unnecessary delays.

Re: Still Frustrated With Delivery Process!!

I have an order in process still—5 days after I placed the order. It’s getting old to wait twice as long as I used to.

Re: Still Frustrated With Delivery Process!!

@NicksmomESQ.  I've  had that happen several times in the past few months.  In one case I filled out a "missing package" form and the package was delivered in about 2 days, although I  keep getting messages that they can't find it.  It does seem to take them some time to notice they've  received a package not for their area.

Merchants are going to use the system that's cheapest for them regardless of how long it takes.  Almost everyone is now using the UPS/USPS system.

@NicksmomESQ. I totally agree with what you are saying. Frequently mine stall in one location for three days before they are moved. Still don’t understand why Q’s contracts department does not use all these complaints and statistics when they enter negotiations with these carriers. UPS direct imo is a far superior carrier even though they occasionally have issues to.

@Kindaglitzy.  One big hold up is that UPS doesn't move on week-ends unless they're on an interstate trip already underway.  If they'd work all week-end it would speed up our receipt of our packaged.

Re: Still Frustrated With Delivery Process!!

Q ships using parcel post and third party shippers.  Items go just so far before they have to wait for a non-USPS third party to pick them up and deliver them to the next point.  It is pathetically slow this way but that's how it works with third party shippers.

Plus, Q uses parcel post.  It's the slowest and lowest priority mail possible.  If there is a storm or USPS is overloaded (esp at holidays), it sits until they get to it.  That's just the way parcel post works.

IMO, a retailer shouldn't use parcel post, esp if they charge shipping fees..  1st class mail is often the same price or just pennies more.

Im sure if they used UPS to deliver directly to your door the shipping cost would rise significantly.

Re: Still Frustrated With Delivery Process!!

@NicksmomESQ I feel your frustration because the same thing has happened with 3 of my packages. They get to my local post office and then somehow the postal service manages to route them from there to another state!

And then it disappears into their system with NO tracking while I suppose someone has to manually sort it out to get it to the right place. Also since the packages often start out with a UPS tracking #, the post office can't even track it since it isn't their system! I know, I called them to find out what was going on.

I agree that having it go back to shipping via UPS from warehouse to my home would make me a lot happier. I seldom had anything go astray or be delayed.

Frustrating and tiresome.

@Imaoldhippie that might be so on the price increase but I would like to have the option. Right now I'm really tired of all of it.

Re: Still Frustrated With Delivery Process!!

I placed an order on 7/15 and it is still in process.  I called Customer Service on 7/20 and they said they would send message to push item.  I noticed thatthe order details later indicated in process as of 7/20.  Order still has not shipped.

I am sorry I waited 5 days to complain.  Seems like there are always various issues.  I tried to sign up for Xmas in July sweeps and put in all information and then the captcha section failed and would not respond.  Other things failing all of the time.

It is really hard to accept that a huge company has such bad technical people handling the website.  Things should have been resolved years ago.
