Hi! Are you all aware that Synchrony has started charging $1.99 for paper statements? No forewarning of which I was aware.

Yes, there is another post about this that was started a couple of months ago.

Many companies have implemented this over the years.

It happened last July (2024), I believe. There was a notice sent in the statement before it went into effect.

Hello. Last summer I received emails from Sychrony about the fee referencing my q card and hsn card.

Set up your account online with Synchrony. You can login in monthly to print your statement if you want a copy of it. If you don't need a copy of it you can view your statements online.

Am wondering why anyone would want paper statements anymore. You can access all that online now.

@wagirl Because believe it or not, everyone does not have access to the internet as well as computers & mobile devices.

Not me. I shred everything in our file cabinet. We had so many different statements including bank statements. I'm not keeping anything for a certain amount of years. I never needed any of the stuff. Only thing we need is a few years of our tax returns.

I burned up the shredder & had to buy another one.

I figured after Covid everyone had Internet so they could work at home. Also so kids could have school during covid?

Even low income get free phones.

In addition to what @Mz iMac said, I don't care to have to print out everything for the accountant. (Not necessarily applicable to Q statements in particular.)
