Hi! @QVCkitty1
I’ll explain the reason why I asked about the Legendary Joan Rivers. She was on QVC for 24 years and sold over 1 Billion dollars worth of merchandise. Obviously she was a great friend of the Q family. She was the first pioneer of women’s comedy and the Q still has her line of fashion and jewelry.
Her daughter Melissa was invited to the Q50 celebration of women. Many posters have mentioned Joan Rivers in prior posts, so it is fitting that I asked for those honest men and women’s opinions now.
Joan Rivers is NEVER to be forgotten! And from the utmost honest posters who responded.
I have determined she had an unapologetic form of comedy for women.
Hope that answers your question. 🤗🤗🤗
@RescueLover , I appreciate your answer. I think what set me off about Joan ( who I really enjoyed ) was the poster who commented that Joan knew where to draw the line. Really ? If one thinks this you never really experienced Joan's humor. I'm sorry if I offended you , it was not my intention.

I saw Joan twice live and she was a pistol, noticing got by her, she would of loved what went on in Vegas.

@QVCkitty1No worries here! 🤗🤗🤗 I’m fairly a newbie compared to the MANY here that have watched QVC for decades.
I sometimes feel like I’m in a tribe, like the show Survivor (trying to survive on this forum 😂)
@RescueLover It can be a bumpy ride ! 🌺

Joan Rivers was not the first pioneer of women's stand up comedy. She was an early pioneer standing on the shoulders of other famous women who made a name for themselves and who came before her and along side her, Phillis Diller, Totie Fields, Moms Mabley.
And no one ever knows what another person might have thought, especially when dealing with performers. You see the side they want you to see.

I remember when Shawn first started as a host at Q. The women on the boards hated her then too for some reason. I guess she has that kind of personality where you either love her or hate her. I'm in the middle. No love no hate. Anyway, she has been a target from the beginning.

Hi! @ etoile308
Hmmm..Maybe what I read about her being the Pioneer was because of her Unapologetic form of comedy for Women. Were these other comedians like her or was she one of a kind like others have said?
Sounds like she was brutally honest and held nothing back. One poster said that she could make a porn star blush. That’s Major!!
@RescueLover Joan was funny and I appreciated her humor . The only thing that bothered me about Joan was her intolerance of the overweight. She had no problem accepting that 3x money. She could be mean, however humor is subjective so...
