Stan Herman Announces His QVC Retirement

[ Edited ]

From the QVC Facebook account posted this evening:

"It's been a 33-year romance for me, and I would never ever give anything up for it." After so many amazing years, legendary fashion designer, Stan Herman, announces his QVC retirement ❤️

This Fall will be Stan's last collection for QVC.  He had some wonderful thoughts with Shawn on her QVC podcast.  It's available to watch on the QVC streaming channel titled, "50+ & Unfiltered with Shawn Killlinger."

Aw...well, certainly understandable at this stage of life for him.

@Caaareful Shopper Shawn's podcast is usually every other week, but maybe because this was a 2-parter, it is already up~I didn't realize that; thanks for the heads-up!

Can't wait to see part 2!

What a lovely, talented man...A true designer...

I love how Stan's eyes sparkle when he gets enthused about one of his garments! I have purchased many things from him and love them all.

Thank you Stan!

Wow, wow, wowww. 😭

Well, that got me.

One...Shawn...everything she said about Stan...spot on, and why he's so beloved here.

What a cojent (I had to just look that up to make sure that's what I mean, lol) interview...he's so thoughtful and  articulate with his feelings, thoughts, words...straight on authentic.

My favorite one yet.

And Ms. Shawn...like her or not as a QVC host...I've said it before, as have others here....she is in her most authentic and best self in these shows.

This one was so enjoyable, as is Stan, Gosh she could have easily done 4 parts with him, because he'd have had more time to articulate and elaborate on all his answers. I know she overstepped him a few times, but, bless her, she knew she wanted to talk about so much with him, and get to it all, so I "got it."

And last but not least...we said it together me and Stan...."and then I'll end with a big juicy piece of watermelon!" My man!! Dude...me too, me too. 🍉 ...just when I thought I couldn't love him more. Smiley Wink

such a beautiful human being.  I almost think his presence on QVC will be missed more than his fashions.  He is really an interesting person. Loved pod cast with Shawn too, omg, he is the fountain of eternal youth...but he said his Dad lived to 105, so 97 is just a pup, lol

In the late 90's, his shows were so much fun, I would watch, and not even buy anything. Both he and Joan Rivers shows were so much fun and laughs, you could just forget everything else.  I haven't watched qvc on TV since 2003, but I would turn in to see both of these people anyday on QVC. I do miss Joan just being in this world.   I think above everything else, Stan is such a humble, grateful person, so full of life...and grateful for every moment. And this man has done it all. His natural interest in everything, and wanting to learn something new all the time is what has kept him young.  That,  and his relationship with partner.
