Sorry to burst your bubble, but I've been watching the Irish shows on QVC and QVC2 all day.  There are 9 hours of St. Patrick's Sale programming on each channel, 18 hours total, for today.

Oh nice. Like I said, I wasn't home to really tune in...I'll have to go back and watch some of the videos..

NO REASON FOR PRICES TO INCREASE YOU SAY.  yOU NEED A NEW SOURCE FOR CURRENT INFO.

EVEN THE HENS HAVE RAISED EGGS BACK UP TO OVER $4 - $5. AFTER DROPPING TO $3

SELECTION OF QVC CLOTHING IS ANOTHER ISSUE - WHICH I AGREE......

I wish I lived in your area...here in CT average eggs are $5, organic and pasture raised, which used to be about $5.50, are now on average $7-9. They even went as high as $12 a dozen not too long ago. Insane.

St. Patrick's Day just may be a little overrated by the shopping channels. I went shopping at a local mall today...and was the ONLY person wearing green.   (Just a thought, di)

I'm down in the Orlando area of FLA, everyone was walking around in green today, hats, lit up shamrock necklaces, lots of green...not just at the local Irish pubs. A lot of people in the spirit. I'm sure it's more prevelent wherever people are out celebrating, bars, restaurants and last week our town had it's parade. So people still have fun with it.

Re: St Patrick's Day programming

I agree with everyone that was disappointed with the St. Patrick’s Day event on QVC. It was nothing compared to the days when it was a 24 hour event, that included culture, music, many more items. I miss that! Please bring it back and do it right for next year. Do better QVC

They still have the Rose of Tralee day to celebrate the Irish too. So QVC celebrates Ireland twice every year. I enjoy these shows, but I'd like to see them do some other global/multicutural celebrations too.

Re: St Patrick's Day programming

It's a huge day in southern New England, especially the Boston area.  I too miss the old days of the Q, especially St. Patrick's Day with a full day of products!    I tend to think it's the Q's decision to limit the programming.   They haven't been the brightest bulbs in recent years regarding business decisions.   All of the vendors have to fly over here from Ireland, you think they would just continue to offer them the full day!   It was always enjoyable!

Re: St Patrick's Day programming

I buy direct from Irish vendors with an online presence. I have visited their B&M stores when in Ireland & know quality is good & a large variety for all ages plus I get coupons, free shipping & fast delivery. I’m a loyal QVC customer for many years but not for Irish products.

In my area, we are very diverse & 3/17 is big. We went to one of our regular pubs in NJ with neighbors three of which are Korean, one African American gent with his gf who is Cuban & my husband who is Italian. We met up with my niece’s son & wife who are Italian & Greek. In NNJ everyone is Irish on 3/17. The pub was jammed with valet & a line to get in. I think my husband and neighbors enjoy the day more than I do & Im Irish!

We also go to a local Mexican restaurant for Cinco de Mayo & a Korean restaurant for Lunar NY. One very popular restaurant is fusion, Italian, Sushi & Cuban fare which represents the people from our area.

I enjoyed the Irish shows when they were on. I know that they were on both channels but I am unable to get QVC2 so I was only able to watch on the main channel.

I never hve  watched the Irish hours since I started watching in 1986---just doesn't interest me--I bought 1 item, a merino cardigan, 30 years ago--hardly wore it as it pilled the moment I put it on and had to be dry cleaned---not a thing for me.

Re: St Patrick's Day programming

I didn't watch the St. Patrick's Day programming on QVC this year.  I just didn't have the same interest in it as I had in the past.  I really look at the jewelry and saw how expensive it was so it turned me off for the day.  I will look forward to Rose of Tralee and hope it will be a lot better.
