Anyone with these issues with Spectrum?

We don't have a cable choice here in the "sticks"

Voice overs on some channels sometimes..The voice overs seem to be descriptions in shows when words aren't spoken..as if it was for visually impaired..Ex: no one was speaking but a voice said "Jane is rubbing her bracelet as he walked away"..I could see that but a visually inpaired person wouldn't.

Last night's Bengals game on CBS was in Spanish!..

Neither of these things happen all the time.

Last week on day Bold and the Beautiful was in Spanish..Again on the regular channel.

@Jo1313    I have spectrum and have very little issues living in a larger suburban area in CA,  I suspect "the sticks"is the problem.   Have you called them and explained the issues

I am so happy to no longer be a Spectrum subscriber.

How's your antenna reception?  You might want to switch.

I'm in TN and Spectrum is the only cable choice we have.  We haven't experienced your problems, but do get a lot of "freezing" up---sometimes a few seconds, sometimes maybe 30 seconds. Plus, the bill gets higher and higher!

@Jo1313

We’ve had Spectrum for years as & I’ve had no big issues.

But, go to your settings & choose “language” & select English from the menu

Then go back to the menu & select closed captions” & select “off”

That should fix the issues

@Jo1313   " I could see that but a visually inpaired person wouldn't. "

Is the close captioned option on your TV on?  If so, it's probably just a setting on your TV or cable box that is the issue.  If in spanish sometimes, you may have the spanish setting set up somewhere on the TV or the cable box and if Spanish isn't available, you are getting English, so that's why the problem isn't all the time.  And if closed captioned isn't available on the program, you might not see anything unusual.

I would call them and have someone come check it out.  If you are able to get a recording of the issue while it's happening, that is always helpful to show the person who comes to fix it.   Not the same issue, but my Dad made a recording and it was helpful to try to show/explain since it was intermittent.

Also, how long has it been since the cable line was installed on your house?   Maybe you are getting interference from someone who is using a ham radio or something similar? ...just guessing, but I would call the cable company and have them check it out.

we live in rural NC and are so hoping to get a cable provider other than Spectrum.  There is so much new houseing going up that hopefully another company will start to offer something.
