Skyping Annoying and Distracting

Just my opinion.  And in the Corona environment we are living in, before anyone asks, no I don't have an alternative to suggest.

I remember early days where the QVC salesman did most presentations and there were vendor reps for few products.

I am old and obviously crotchety, but  skyping is not for me, let alone watching people skype.

Agree with your complaining. You are not crotchety nor a curmudgeon.  You are not alone with your complaining.  Maybe just like others here who complain about Skype   🤬.

Life would be soooo much simpler if one could go back in time.

Like, still use analog dial up phones, no digital devices in our lives, no multi purpose cell phones, no Skype, no FaceTime, and still watch black and white TV's.

Do you still fancy living in the past?  Remembering  how it was in the 1930's and 1940's.  Yearning for the "good ole days"?  Sorry, I can not imagine how living in that era was. 😞  Only that it must have been a much simpler way of life, yes?🤔

Maybe consider not watching so much QVC where Skype is SOP during the COVID pandemic?

I hate to be the one to tell you, but Teams - Zoom - Skype are here to stay. Personnally, I like doing everthing virtually.

OP - I totally agree with you......................when I hear the vendor's hollow voice like coming from the toilet pipe..........I'm gone.

@bluetail fly: I agree! The dropped calls...people talking over one another...the time-delayed responses. I am so-o-o over it!!!  LOL

Re: Skyping Annoying and Distracting

I was watching a presentation of the TSV this afternoon with Rachel as the host.  I happened to be cleaning in the bedroom so I was half listening.

The vendor was skyping and her connection was terrible!  I simply couldn't understand a word of what she was saying!

When they would switch to Rachel at the studio it was so much clearer.....not that I was going to buy the TSV but if I were interested that presentation would have lost the Q a sale.

So why complain about something that's not about to change soon, if ever?  Complaining is a waste of energy.  Instead focus on something you can change.

Re: Skyping Annoying and Distracting

Even pre-Coronavirus, most of the vendors/brand ambassorder do not add anything special or extra to the presentations.
