Someone posted someting about IT Cosmetics being sold to (I forget what company) under my name about a week ago.i do not know how that is done. I notified the board police but they only asked if i wanted it deleted.......

Now, I am having trouble with my acct sign in ,it rejects my passwd  and then a click later accepts it???  I also cannot acess my a/d acct. ,it times out all the time. This has been wayyyyy over a yr and nothing has ever been done to fix it.

I also noticed at one time there were a few different names listed under my acct .how can that be? I never did that!! My acct is 30 yrs old  and everything has always been the same!  Smiley Sad  ....

Like I have been saying.QVC has the worst online shopping site I have ever used !!!!

@MalteseMomma,  I did a search of the user file and only see one "MalteseMomma" listed.    To do this, all you have to do is type the user nickname in the Community forums search bar, choose "Users" instead of "Community," and click/tap "GO."    You can click/tap this link to see the search result for your name:

http://community.qvc.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/user?q=maltesemomma

If there's a post with your account and you didn't create it, it's best to quickly change your login password.   The long-standing login problem you describe might be related to your browser, since it's not a widespread problem.   You might want to be sure you have the latest version, then clear cookies/cache/website data, relaunch it and see if the problem persists (or try a different browser).   I agree this site is very, very glitchy.   I'm sorry that happened to you!   That would be very upsetting.

it is not my computer .The Q messed it all up when they tried to fix the "time out"  on my A/D section. now they have messed up the whole darn thing. I seriously think they hire high school kids to run this site and NOT professionals!!!  Although maybe I should take that back, high school kids might do a better job now that I think about it!

Re: Signed in with two different names? Possible?

There are some strange things on this site from time to time.  I had to change my email address earlier this year due to hacking and the Q. has it and uses it to contact me when needed.  But under my settings for posting my old email address is still listed as current.

Also, one day a couple of years ago they would not allow me to log in unless I created a new nic.  I did not want a new nic so I did nothing that day and logged in just fine with old nic the next day.  No problems no changes necessary.

I hate seeing the old email address still listed but I am afraid to open a can of worms so I just leave it.

@beckyb1012,  Yes, there's been a problem with the sign-in screen failing to recognize our email address and trying to force us to create a new nickname.     I've seen it one time, and I simply departed the site, returned, and the problem wasn't there the second time around.   It's an annoying software bug and for some reason it shows up periodically.

Regarding the other issue, the email address you see when you go into "My Settings" on the Community forums -- I believe -- is not directly linked to the email address in your QVC.com shopping account.   But I'm not 100% sure and can't play around with it right now...   maybe @Keyai or @Eva-QVC or one of the other moderators could answer that question?

Oh, it is so very possible!  In the 12+ years I've been here there have been numerous posters who have held more than one ID and not only that, some have even had conversations with themselves.  heh

There is one professional troll who has probably had some 100 IDs and sometimes even more than one at a time.    Trolls seem to like this place because bannings are so infrequent that they can get away with a lot.

Hi, Chickie!   Not only do they converse with themselves they also heart "each other's" posts.    I've seen it just recently, in fact.    It can be funny to watch...  but at the same time I think it's sad that someone would find a need or desire to play such games and manipulate the forum and other posters.

Hahaha!  As you know, I don't see any of that but I'm certainly not suprised.    I don't know - I guess some people just don't know how to relate to people and it gives them some kind of pleasure to go on boards and mess with people.  I guess I'll never totally get that but I feel bad for them.

Well, chickenbutt--you cannot imagine how much your sense of humor tickles my funny bone ... thank you for lightening up my day!

Thank you both for confirming that this is indeed possible. I guess I have been a member here for way too long-- thought I was losing my mind! SRSLY!

I ignore quite a bit of stuff.   I prefer to just take the high road.  Not only is that better for MY mental health, but it serves as a refusal to give trolls and mean peeps what they want.    I wish more people would just let it sit there and not respond to ANY of it.  It speaks loudly for what it is.  To stoop just gives it legitimacy that it doesn't deserve.

The saddest part, and the part that gives them glee and guarantees they'll keep right on doing it, is that nothing is ever done about it, and if a poster - or a dozen posters in the same thread - complain about it, the moderators delete all the questioning/complaining posts and leave the trolls free to laugh their butts off. That's the main reason it's so prevalent - there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for someone so inclined NOT to do it.

Yep.  I'm pretty sure that's going on a lot in LR threads. There is an anti LR trio and I'm beginning to think they are actually the same person posting and hearting each others' posts.  If it wasn't so sad, it would actually be funny.

Re: Signed in with two different names? Possible?

Yes yes yes about the *trio* or I'd rather say TROIS on every LIsa thread. One's a newbie and extremely articulate (in loathing, snarking etc.) and very similar as an *old head*.

I wish QVC would not only ban them, but notify us as in 'Duel posting/poster'---AND NAME THEIR ALIAS. That would be sweet.
