I was looking on HSN the other day because of a $10 coupon I got (didn't order anything).  HSN was my first love a couple of decades lol.  Then came QVC and and I switched.  Anyway, the shipping rates on HSN are $5.95 for everything under $75.00, then free $75.00 and above.  What do you think of that compared to QVC?  I seldom order above $75.00 so I think QVC's rates are better.  I hope they don't switch the rates for us!

I think the $75+ to get free shipping is too high. I would think sales would be better if they dropped that down a bit, maybe closer to $50 or less. Amazon's is free shipping is for $25+ and Walmart's is for $35+.

The HSN shipping works best for me. I can easily spend $75. If not, I really don't need the item that much. I feel the $5.95 is also a better deal for my shopping needs. Many items on QVC have shipping for one item at $5.50.

I feel that HSN is at least satisfying many of us that want free shipping. Zulily requires $89.

So, it's better than nothing, which right now QVC is offering as far as free shipping.

under $75 your order ships for $5.95.

over $75 your order ships free.

i am hoping that QVC does this also!

*by the way, interestingly, i put two eye shadow palettes from too faced into my cart. they were under $75. it showed one $5.95 charge and a discount of $5.95. i am wondering if some of the beauty brands that had free shipping are still having free shipping , but it is just adjusted in your cart, even if it is under the $75 mark?

It seems that the ones who are complaining the most about HSN's new shipping policy order beauty and vitamin products which used to be pretty much free shipping.  IMO, HSN's new policy is in line with other retailers.  The price point to get free shipping could be a bit lower, i.e, $50, but otherwise it will be interesting to see how the new policy affects sales.

I am glad it works for many , but it does deter me from ordering a single item. It certainly worlds better than Shop HQ who has the worst shipping rates i have seen.
