I find the ‘sidebar’ very annoying. I agree with it being nothing more than an announcement of topic change. Well anyway, let’s not not talk about the product let’s talk about me.

Back when The Soup was on tv she was favorite fodder. They had a 30+ second clip of her repeating the word ‘literally’ from various segments that was so funny I still think of it every time she says it.

I suspect that she doesn't quite know what the word means in the context of how she uses it, but wanted to say it after watching too much Law and Order.

I guess sidebar took the place of her continually saying 

I just want to call out. I think she picked that up from Aimee K. handbag vendor. 

I am not sure if she still says it, but she use to repeat it on anything presented.

It sounds to me like a lot of people are watching too much QVC.  If something someone says bothers me that much, I find something else to do or watch. It would be better for the blood pressure!

We all have the right to be bothered by whatever we like, such as you being bothered by us being bothered by the use of that word.  That's how it works.
