coming from a person who brags about her lack of hygiene.

Why should Shawn care abt dust since she has a habit of constantly having her hand wiping her nose .
Most restaurants probaly don't have time to get their staff to clean as they are probably just lucky staff keep the kitchen clean and show up on time.

Well, Shawn can do an episode on " Shawn save the ... restaurant " with a telescoping duster .
Go to work Shawn and show us how it's done .

@happilyretiredgirl ….. Yeah, and as they say “When you point a finger, 4 are pointing back at you.” This adage certainly pertains to herself and her home. For her to disparage a restaurant to the potentially millions of people watching, in my opinion, is defamatory.

As a person who does food safety inspections as part of my job overseeing restaurants, I have no problem with what Shawn said.
Food safety includes cleanliness and a dusty ceiling can give you an idea of what the kitchen ceiling and vents look like.
In CT where some of my restaurants are, there is a section in the local paper where the health inspection scores are reported along with pictures at times. Same in some towns in NJ.

Funny, it was just a few weeks ago that Kim Gravel mentioned this same place on the air and said how much she enjoys going there when she is in town. .

When we were in South Carolina on vacay a while back we noticed in the front windows of restaurants there was a sticker with the letter A, B, etc, we asked what that was for and we were told it comes from the health inspection places are given and to see an A sticker means they were top rated for cleanliness.

@Shelbelle Those grades are prominently shown at most & if not all establishments that sell food in South Jersey. Not sure if done throughout the State.
I've seen a few in the downdown area (Center City) & its outskirts in the Philly surrounding burbs.

Never seen it here in MD. I think it is a good thing to have. My kids live in Center City. Next time I get there will look for it.
