The reality is, regardless if it is Shawn, Jane T., Nancy, or Avijah Q does the hiring and firing. They know how well someone is performing, some may speculate that being on Q1 and on prime time, one must be a pretty good sales person due to people being home from work and turning on the TV. But IMO, there are a couple pretty decent hosts over on Q2 in the afternoons.  However, not all these sales people actually sell everything very well. SK is terrible at food and David is kind of blase with everything but food and kitchen.

Some people look like they just walked in from a tornado, and others always look sharp nails done, hair perfect, and clothes that fit. Some of the sales people are very knowledgeable about their products, and other ones seem to take a lackadaisical approach spinning their yarns about vacations, trips, and (adult) children and possibly never give you any details at all.

Apparently people will buy from all these types of people, and Q does not care really about who we "like" or not because there have not been any changes no matter how many threads come up about this person or that one. I can confidently say, not one of those people have actually sold me anything. I bought items that I researched, price shopped, genuinely decided I wanted, and was not persuaded in any way shape or form by the salesperson.

I see the idea of a live host on a TV channel going to the wayside in the next couple of years. It'll likely be streaming and more pre-recorded programming with no phone callers. Also, there should be a much neglected overhaul of the app with better features and more content. The website needs to be streamlined too. The human connection Q says they are pushing (Q50 and the storytellers galore) is going to be drastically reduced.

In time I predict none of these complaints related to hosts, many which are valid, will matter anyway.

I can only count on one hand the complaints that are valid.


But Maybe it’s because I haven’t shopped at The Q for a 100 years.



Interesting how I JUST READ some poster mentioned that the Famous Lisa R and Patty ? were constantly criticized and disliked by posters here. 😳

I guess the wisdom I have gained from this forum is ….


If someone is cruel to a stranger they never met, how do they treat their own family and friends ??



Do they tell their loved ones, get your act together when you’re out in public, or at your job, because you’re a mess (when they might be dealing with personal issues that take priority over their appearance) ??


Or worse do they talk about them to others behind their backs.


Either way I highly Hope not !

What? You haven't shopped at the Q for 100 years? You're always posting how Shawn made you buy this and that. 

Your constant defense of Shawn is tiring and needless.  You are not going to change minds.  Only Shawn can do that if she weren't so full of herself to show respect to the customers.

Don't worry, she'll get around to that sooner or later.  

And you are insulting posters, how is that not mean and ugly?  Because I don't see posts about Hosts as mean or ugly, just their truth - they are expressing how things hit them.

And posters are not in the public eye.  Shawn is, so it's incumbent on her and other hosts to be as appealing to as many customers as possible.  Do not take attention away from the product, but QVC is making sure that the product is the least important thing on their SHOPPING CHANNELS.  Good luck with that.
