@occasionalrain - Remember your usual mantra "innocent until proven guilty" (which I admire).

If you have never watched Shawn, but only go by what others say, that's hearsay.  And there are conflicting opinions of her, so who is right and who's wrong?  Those who defend her see a different person; that doesn't make them vulgar or crude.

I'm don't have strong views about any of the hosts; I do know they all have their good and bad days.  That's just human nature.

One thing is for sure; if she offended the majority of QVC shoppers and they made that known, she would either be reprimanded or gone.  As it is, I'm sure she's one of their highest-selling hosts.  So she can't be all bad, to most customers.

Just a thought on a different perspective.

I think Shawn thinks she is indispensable. Maybe she exceeds her quota of sales. QVC is all about sales that is more important to them then telling Shawn to watch her insults. Who knows what could happen after the Holidays.

@San Antonio Gal  - I doubt it.  Any more than they were bothered by her selling the "personal" balms and using the V word on air, when Medicine Mama was on (and the products sold out).  

Or a myriad of other things she and fellow hosts and vendors have said.  Maybe they think people should stop clutching their pearls, move into the 21st century and lighten up.  (My goodness, we all know the commercials we're subjected to every single day of the year.  Nothing is off limits now.)

But that's JMO.  Maybe they did!

Manners matter to me, some might say too much. Shawn has none which apparently appeals to those for whom manners are outdated.

I have Q muted because the speech, voice/grammer, of most hosts annoys me. The same with expressive hand/arm talk. I change the channel on them.

Shawn absolutely lost it with Helen Rockmore…. I try to not judge her craziness, but it’s just way too much! It’s uncomfortable!
