I believe she quit in support of her husband. After trying to sell jewelry on her own , she begged to get her job back. I believe Jane has told this story.

Yes Jane did quit in support of her husband, she was not fired.

I just googled it, even though I've known it for years, and had no trouble finding it. Several articles about it came up.

@shaggygirl    Apparently there is a thread about this rumor right here in the forums a few years ago.   It seems to me that it is mostly rumors   Apparently she left on her own and was even given a send off celebration by QVC.  I doubt QVC would give her a party if  they were firing her.

@shaggygirl    Links are definitely allowed.   I have done an extensive search.  Nothing exists that says she was fired.  If you have the link please proved.  There is a forum here from 2017 and apparently it was all rumors

Thanks for the reminder.  Rose of Tralee wouldn't be the same without JRT.  I'm not seeing Irish stuff on any of the channels so I'll have to check the program guide.
