Returns via Mail Innovations

I returned a few things recently with the QVC label which was provided on the packing slip. Sometimes I use the QR code but the labels were there so I used them.  I watched the return tracking and it took 10 days for my package to leave my state!  It went to 3 different usps locatiions before it finally went on its way to South Carolina. Another package (returned because I ordered a Petite Small and received a Petite 1X) according to tracking sat at my Post office for a week!  I saw today it finally moved to another usps still in my state!  Talk about a slow boat to China!

I have had pretty much the same experience.  Packages sitting at the post office for about a week then moving slowly through  the system and finally back to QVC.  I kinda think that may be the way things are at this time. On the other hand I have had packages delivered earlier than expected because UPS makes the delivery a day or 2 earlier than expected vs sending it on to the Post office. .

Re: Returns via Mail Innovations

I wish we could print the return labels on our computer for all items, including jewelry, and it would give me the option of returning via UPS.  I always use UPS and print the return label for clothing items, but UPS is not an option that pops up if I need to return jewelry items.  And for the more expensive jewelry items, I WOULD REALLY PREFER BEING ABLE TO RETURN VIA UPS.  PLEASE QVC always give us UPS option when printing labels ourselves for ALL items!!

I really don't give a hoot how long it takes returns to get back to QVC.  Unless it was very inexpensive, I use Easy Pay and the few dollars I have invested are not a big influence in my financial stability.

It amuses me that people get so uptight about this timeframe.

@just wonder.  You can use the QR code to make your return at UPS.   I've bused it and was out of the store in 2 minutes.  You don't need a label, they'll make it.

Read the instructions on the Q website.

Re: Returns via Mail Innovations

Being a Q customer for 38 years, I finally learned:

Ship return items myself using USPS with a tracking number.

Items are returned in 2 days, the cost is the same as using a Q return label, and the returns are processed quickly.

Those Q return labels are NO bargain, and the "tracking" for them is laughable.

@OutOfTheBlue   that used to be the case before the Post Office raised  its prices.   Depending on the item, the size of the package and where it's going to, I found the savings if any is minimal and in some cases it costs more to pay on your own.   Yes you get a tracking number but it takes longer to get a refund than when you use the QR code or their label.

@Teddixat I see your point.

I wait until I have 5 or 6 items, box them in a USPS "Mailing Box" which is cheaper, and has all the perks of PRIORITY MAIL at a cheaper price. It costs me $14.00  to ship back 5-6 items at once. My strategy is to order the things I have on my wish list at once, so everything comes at once, and then I still meet the 30 day return policy. For me, it's the cheapest way to go.

Of course, FREE SHIPPING days help also !

@Teddixat

I agree!

Paying yourself is based on distance as well as weight.  The USPS rates have gone higher and higher for years.

I am up North.  Returns go to the South.

For a VERY long time now, I have paid more myself that the label fee.

It is faster though, but I am w/  @Kachina624

I always use EZ so that small amount is no big deal to me.

Sounds like good advice.  I just might try that soon.  Thank you for the advice.
