I decided to return a skirt I just received (too tight in the waist....guess I ate too many cookies...lol!). The status of the return says that it is it arrived at my local post office on 2/4 and nothing since then. Is that usual for it to sit that long at my local post office? I can't remember how long it took last time I returned something.

If you sent it by the USPS, it's scanned when you bring it to them. It won't get scanned again until it's delivered to the Q (wherever that might be - you never know!). Your check order status will say RETURNED, then you'll know they got it.

The USPS is awful at updating tracking. Don't worry about your return. By now it's probably at the Q waiting in a long line to be processed.

I too am a bit concerned, for the first time, with returns. I returned three items well over a week ago, all at the same time, and only one has shown up on the order status page as returned... Doesn't make sense, especially when two of the items returned were the same jewelry items, both ordered as gifts. If they received one then they really should have received the other at the same time. The third was an accessory item. Any way you slice it, by now, it seems they should all be back. Usually I ship returns and forget them and simply wait for the email confirmations but for some reason these seem to be lagging.

Well the good news is I just checked and the second jewelry item has now been listed as well, now I'm just waiting for the third item to show up as having been successfully returned, received and credited...

Well, at least now it looks like the package has left my local post office and is actually moving. Hopefully it will speed up now. I was getting nervous that is hadn't changed status in a week!

That's good! Now just hoping your last item is done soon! I so prefer going to stores to return things in person. This waiting and trusting the mail makes me nervous Smiley Happy.

I've never given it a second thought, but agree, it's good to be able to have the return receipt firmly in hand... Once I'm sure this last item has been received, I have two more items that I need to return. I've never had a problem with returns being received and timely processed, and only recently began writing down tracking numbers, but the way the mail seems to be moving these days and with all the bad weather, I'm now doing so.

Happy to report that the last of my already returned items showed up as successfully returned today! I've also decided to keep one of the last two items I'd planned to send back, so only one left to go...
