Even if we try on shoes in the stores and clothes that have been worn and tried on many times, that is NOT the way it is supposed to work with QVC. All merchandise is sold as "new" on the program and internet. If it has been returned it belongs in the "as is" section.
@Beammeupscotty. I just received a pair of sandals sold "as is" which were a real bargain. Sketchers Slip Ins for less than $30. They were brand-new, never taken out of the box with original factory packing.
They simply had too many and wanted to get rid of them.
Where'd you buy them?

This has never happened to me in all the years of ordering. I ordered sandals at regular price and the package said return dept. I called and found they sent me a returned item at new price. Of course they are going back but what is happening. It is bad that you can't trust them anymore.
You left out some very key information here.
Forget the packaging, had the shoes been WORN?
If they looked unworn with clean soles, you got new shoes with an old box. Or they were purchased and returned unworn.
What exactly is the problem?
ALL retailers restock returns that aren't used or worn. This is nothing new.
What would you want retailers to do with returns? Dump them into a landfill and lose money ... and shut down?
After Bed, Bath & Beyond closed, I tend to give retailers slightly more slack. These businesses are all trying to keep their heads above water. Not naming any names here, but you get the idea.

Don't want any returned items. Don't care or know if they were tried on or stood on the carpet...and it looks never touched. That person could have nail fungus/athete's foot/warts etc.. You can sell items as returned items... that's fine. Give the buyer the option and honesty to let them know it is a return. Do not sell me an item that has been returned and call it new. Retailers need to give the consumer slack.

@hopi - Have you ever gone to a shoe store and tried shoes on? They could have been tried on by someone else.

@hopi Even if you buy shoes in a store, they almost certainly have been tried on, put back in the box and back on the shelf.
And not everybody uses the "footies" that many stores provide for trying on shoes.
