Because they sell!!!
Yep, that is the facts. QVC is there to make $$$ and as long as they are doing that, they aren't about to change. So if they are making $$$ showing the same things/brands over and over, it only makes business sense to continue doing so. I don't know of any company that says, "oh wait we are making tons of money showing these brands but hey, let's stop and show some of these other brands that don't sell as well or try some other brands even though we don't know if they will sell well."
With that said, I only watch beauty shows and even I get tired of the same brands and, worse yet, is the same PRODUCTS from the same lines. So that is why I hardly watch anymore.
I never have watched QVC hour after hour or look to it as a sole source of entertainment. It is a shopping channel after all. Nothing more, nothing less.

QVC shows what sells. I have no interest in WEN or wenners and I avoid them online and won't watch the live or canned shows. Ugh that WEN is even on TV in Canada on TSC. I find those presentations obnoxious with all the on air hair fluffing.
I also have no interest in cooking shows and avoid all of those Vitamix blender show. I also won't watch Dyson vaccuum or fan shows or household product shows like ones on the pillows or beds.
I avoid all electronic shows including computers, tablets, TVs, and Bose.
I only watch beauty and fashion programming and jewelry once in a while but only for vendors that I like.

Qvc had great products in the past. the new people should take note. They are too busy selling the same things over and over. How many expensive vacumns can one buy. Maybe there are a lot of people who cn afford 200.00 handbags, but most of us who promoted QVC in the past can't but they never show those priced items. Most of the pretty tops they show are almost 50.00, more with s&h and tax. Out of my price range.
Seriously, shampoo and beauty products are top shelf and you keep pushing.Show a variety of prices and lines for all. Stop the constant dyson, dooney and burke, wen, dell, vitamix and show other things. Oh, and 200.00 or more Christmas trees.

You should see how old the clothing is. Clothing from last October is still for sale. Why don't they just liquidate the old inventory to make room for new products. They hang onto this old stuff forever.

And over, and over, and over. I also dislike the long presentations for one product.

QVC isn't an entertainment program. It's mega retailer and they showcase the brands and products that they know will sell. Perhaps you should look at the program guide and only watch the "show" that interest you. I can't imagine sitting and watching hour after hour of QVC programming the way I did 20 years ago.

@SunValley wrote:Some of these shows do seem like they are vendor-sponsored infomercials. The vendor takes over for most of the show and the presentation is highly scripted with lots demo videos. The host takes the second position and is there to ask prescripted questions and give updates on numbers sold. Maybe vendor-purchased air time is part of the business model now. I dislike it, so after a few minutes to see what is on, I move on to doing something else. It must be profitable but I wonder how many viewers they lose that might stick it out for the next item if they didn't have to see an hour of footage on vacuum and mattress inerds.
"Mattress inerds ", girl you made me spill my tea!

These shopping channels are set up similar to infomercials. I only need a few minutes to make up my mind on a purchase. I can't imagine leaving the tv on any one of these channels as they talk on and on about something I'm not interested in. Very boring. I only watch tv in the evening, and I'm mostly flipping channels. All these channels and very little I care about watching. Ugh.

Or as my brother says "I have about a thousand channels and there still is nothing to watch!".
