@bobby5 I have to ask about "items from her own shop". When did JB open a shop of her own? What does she sell there? I'm curious about the items she sells. Thx

@Krimpette Ive never seen JB do a Sunday morning (jewelry) show. Now, MANY years ago I always enjoyed Jane Treacey's Sunday morning Silver Style shows, never missed one. Jane's the seller who really turned me onto great sterling silver jewelry that was so stylish and very affordable. I still have lots of pieces she had that I still have and weawr.

She started selling things online about a year ago. I can't give you the website because they'll delete it. Just google Just Jill Bauer & you'll come across it. She sells things like jewelry, beauty items, home decor, food...basically a little bit of everything.

So, it appears some of the hosts go on QVC for a time, get established with viewers, then leave and hope they will endorse them on their shows,

I never cared for Jill for one reason and she should know better being on tv for so long as a reporter and such..

That would be her constant use of the word "um",, honestly that drove me nuts!

I'm surprised no one at the Q ever corrected her on that.

@pieman Jill was on QVC for a long time, unless you're speaking of someone else.

I agree. Always enjoyed Jill, was sad to see her go. Never thought she was a braggart, didn't even know she had a beach house. But, good for her, glad she is doing well.

@mildoo Agree w/you & she seems to be doing just fine.

David just got back from a week's vacation at his beach house & showed pix on his facebook page & I think several other hosts have one also - they work hard so deserve to rest/relax.

@nj yes I know she was on QVC...

I also know she had the constant "ummm" habit whenever she was on.

Perhaps you just got used to her saying it so much.

I did also. Made me realize how much I miss her. And some of the long gone hosts.

What makes VPH a ' decorating' expert? Because QVC says so. I find many of her items tacky and overpriced.

If the TODAY SHOW calls Jill a " homestyle expert" good for Jill! It takes A LOT to get on the TODAY SHOW. I worked in entertainment in NYC for years. Producers are pitched by agents and vendors constantly. Good for Jill getting the frequent appearances and exposure that I'm sure drives viewers to her own site. Always liked Jill. Calm, no yelling, no self featuring behaviour, gave all the information needed.
