Sad news for sure. Even though I’ve never seen any of his movies, I know from what I’ve heard that he was an Exceptional Actor.

Looking at his younger pics he sorta reminds me of Brad Pitt.

Very Handsome. I wonder if him and Brad ever made a movie together?

Robert Redford, Paul Newman, 1969,

What a great pair they were on screen. What great friends in real life. Oh, that Paul Newman...handsome personified.

What a great era for movies...that brings me back to my teens. Time marches on....seemingly in a blink.

@CANDLEQUEEN

I agree with you.  An odd choice for RR I thought.  A guilty pleasure to watch him in such a weak roll.

Woody Harrelson was her husband, wasn't he?

Three Day of the Condor, so perfectly cast with Max von Sydow. One of the best of the genre.

I already posted on this thread but wanted to add that both Robert Redford and Paul Newman were great guys who gave back - and in many ways.

Bless them.

Re: ROBERT REDFORD, RIP

[ Edited ]

he surely will be missed .ome of the great ones  Baby Boomers got to see grow!    For me it seems he's been around for 50 of my 77 years. In 1968 or 9 I did walk ons in one of his first movies BIG FAUSS LITTLE HALSEY. He was unknown, no one knew who he was!!  But we loved MJP, his co star...suppose to be the star, but stay tuned!    Part of it was done in UVAS  meadows area near where I live now.  It was suppose to feature Michal J Pollard, as he had just come out of Bonnie and Clyde I think. It co-starred Lauren Hutton. I was roaming around the hillside there, and I actually took old 8mm film of him going into his cabin and waving. I was surprised how short he was compared to how he looked in other movies. I did not know who he was, nor did anyone else.  Then They released later that year Butch Cassidy, lol....the Big fauss movie didn't come out for over 2  years after maybe.  It was kinda bad, they probably didn't want to release it because now RR was,a,star, lol. I heard they had to honor Micheal  J Pollards contract, and they released it.  I saw movie, thought maybe I saw myself, I was standing far behind Carol Dotas boobs.in background .  Her boobs ..they took up the whole, screen. lol. Hey, I got 10 bux a day...cash money and movies of Lauren Hutton Robert Redford.
he was a good  man..did so much good for others.   And look at all the pleasure he gave people at the movies. Some of the greatest films ever.   I love the sting and out of Africa and the way we were

ETA.  For those to young, Carol Dota was the SF topless dancer, first in a line  she was a national headline at time,  I shoukd say headlamp, lol lol she actually was a smart lady, very smart!!!IMG_2963.jpeg

Oh Robert Redford, sigh!

My all-time favorite movie is Jeremiah Johnson.

Thank you for all the years of movie entertainment. You will be missed.
