I am sorry it appears we are trying to be secretive about the GAMERS category. We are happy to add anyone who wants to be added to the access for this specific category, all are welcome to play.

With the new forums we no longer have the ability to filter the activity of a particular category from those who do not want to see the particular posts from that category. This is how we had Gamers setup in the past, the heavy activity from the small number of Gamers was only impacted by individuals who visited that specific category. In the current forums the activity would be seen in many places.

Those who post in the Gamers category post a lot and it can quickly take over a page and start to look like SPAM. On day one in the new forums the game posts lived in Community Chat and so many became angry with the volume of posts that began to be all about games.

In order to give Gamers a home that would not negatively impact the rest of the Community we needed to create a category that is only visible to those members who wish to play. It is not the ideal solution, but it does give Gamers a home and has ended the posts complaining about moving Gamers to their own home.

We are continuing to review a better solution.
