Re: Question about Super Saturday

I sadly did not think Saturday was "Super."

For all the vendors on QVC - and those vendors who are constantly on - there were much fewer donations than would be expected.  if I were those vendors who get constant air time, I would really be ashamed.  And a few offered items that looked like leftovers no one would get excited about.  And why offer the items before air time, knowing such small quantities would be sold out before they were offered on air?  And then why announce some customers were buying in multiples?  Seeing quantities were so low, it might have been a good idea to limit one particular item to a customer.  And don't get me going about Lisa Rinna's involvement in hosting.  I am sure QVC has gotten enough feedback by now to know she really is a poor representative of a organization trying to establish itself as a good corporate citizen.  I will say that Peter Thomas Roth was very generous in his offerings for sale.

It is wonderful that QVC hosts this event, a cause so dear to my heart.  But I am amazed at the poor showing of vendor gifts and the general lack of consideration for the QVC home Audience.

Re: Question about Super Saturday

Rinna is low class and coarse.  Funny how we are monitored so heavily on these forums and deleted for inappropriate topics yet Rinna is interviewing on the teal carpet.  Really??  The show was boring this year.  Alberti should have been there. The items were lackluster. I bought a set of those Saint/Hero bracelets. I wanted to buy some things but nothing was tempting. Too bad.  It  is a good cause.

Re: Question about Super Saturday

I wanted to watch....but the two times i tried to tune in...There was Lisa Rinna and off went the station...and i finally did not go back...

She is trash..and doesn't deserve to be on air...the Q dumped poor Paula Deene for a less offense....

If it is to make money for a good cause...why would there be such limited product and then they end the show early? Why not have plenty of product....more vendors. More variety? It seems so short and such lack of  vendors with all the pre show hype for weeks about it. Such a big deal about nothing.  They could have made much more money for ovarian cancer If they just had product to sell.

I also was was a bit taken back that Lisa Rinna was interviewing and broadcasting.....she is the last person I want to see on this show. That really ruined it for me. Hard to forget the trash that came from her lips about women. Not a good  to have her on at all.

No kidding -- how much did it cost QVC in sales not to have enough inventory or vendors to fill a two hour Super Saturday show? It must have cost a lot of money to send 2 hosts and a production team to broadcast in Santa Monica for what was supposed to be a two hour show.

Lisa Rinna also wouldn't be my first choice to speak to other celebrities as she has no rapport with them. She's brittle and short tempered with them and a poor interviewer. The color of her jumpsuit was nice (teal blue) but way too low cut for an afternoon charity event.

Re: Question about Super Saturday

Rinna and Melissa Rivers got a little  inappropriate for this charity event when they were lounging(literally) on the teal carpet.  I enjoy some risque ,bawdy talk amongst friends. This was on tv for a charity fundraiser. ...not the right venue.

Re: Question about Super Saturday

I was very disappointed with the show. the clothes donated were terrible. Bought the complexion pads from Peter Roth and that was it. To those venders who make a mint on QVC and didn't donate, shame on you.

i was thinking the exact same thing! Not so much about Renna but that they couldn't fill the show.  Graver and Isaac should have had much more product considering how much on air time they get. Where were all the vendors? Really sad program IMO.

@Camry22  I would add Lori Goldstein to your list of those who should have given more product, considering all the air time and sales LOGO has now as well as how her prices have increased.  Give some back!

@TY  I don't know that I would agree with this point.  I would think QVC made more money on products they were charging full price for, once it got back to regular programming after cutitng the show short.

Pearley, QVC's programming after they cut Super Saturday short was selling laptop computers but I can't imagine that people who wanted to watch Super Saturday would stick around to watch a windows laptop presentation. I closed off the ipad app and tuned out and went shopping at a bricks and mortar mall.
