A shortage of hosts, due to vacations, days off, etc.?

Yesterday Pat was on solo for 5 hours. I was wondering where are all these hosts

 Yeah, looking at the Program Guide, there are no shows for Jayne Brown, Mary Beth Roe, and Amy all week. The program schedulers had to give up live shows for lack of hosts (even from a pool of 25 hosts).

I wonder how long they plan to hang on to all these channels.  It would seem one 24- hour channel would be better than several "part time" channels.

I think the main channel should go back to its 24 hour format.

@Caaareful Shopper - Perhaps it's just poor scheduling of vacation time? I know Mary DeAngelis has been out on vacation and Amy Stran took some time off for her birthday (seriously, where do I learn these things?!), so if there are other hosts they also need to schedule around or have picking up extra slots for the vacationers, perhaps they just didn't prioritize Q2 live shows.

Or perhaps it's just technical difficulties; that has happened recently with Q programs.

@faeriemoon  I share your sentiment. Considering how much money Qurate Retail has lost, it would seem that the next budget move would be to eliminate the second live channel. Running the main QVC channel live 24/7 makes much more sense to me.  It's only 4-hours that the replay is run anyway.  That would be one extra host working to fill the shift and a crew from Q2 could handle the set, cameras, and producing.

Maybe they have a company retreat.  QVC is making a lot of changes, not sure how that impacts the staff.  Deliveries and customer service are definitely better, keep us more informed.  Sometimes too informed, but I will not complain about that.

I noticed that too. Was there bad weather in the area or just people calling in sick or vaca
