@Tori3569

Very well stated!

I will admit, I didn't read the OP thread for the reasons others stated....but I got the gist of it from other posts.

How many of us arm chair quarterbacks have ever run a Multi-Bllion dollar company?

The sky isn't falling yet...and if it does...like it did with Sears, BBB, etc.....there will be other places I can shop.

I've been saying for a long time that Q leadership is missing the boat. They need to do several things if they hope to survive.

Stop most of the ridiculous antics, fighting for attention, useless chit chat, and stories.

Q's CEO may call it entertainment but I can't turn the channel fast enough.

Offer new products. We could all probably recite presentations since the same 12-20 products (or variations of) are aired over and over, week after week, month after month.

Limit the polyester and spandex used in clothes. No matter what cutsie name it's given, it's still cheap polyester that doesn't breathe. I can find 100% no-iron cotton shirts/tops for less than what Q charges for cheap poly.

Most other retailers have great and clever marketing plans. Q could if they got away from low hanging fruit plans.

There is absolutely nothing Q or a host can tell me or sell me that will help with menopause, being over 50, aging gracefully, and aging possibilities.

I'm sure there are people who like Christmas starting in June. There has to be a way to make money off of last year's Christmas stuff and balance with new non-Christmas products so people like me will tune in sometimes.

I know gold is super expensive. Q's gold jewelry is mostly junk and overpriced. It's either super cheap or super expensive. There might be a way to do something in-between. I found another retailer whose price per gram beats Q every time.

Overall, class things up a bit. Not snotty and condescending. Just be adults with senses of humor with a bit of decorum.

@Hopein24  QVCs several facebook pages are where the majority of customers post positive/negative comments.

I understand that this forum is not read per se by the Q but they have programs set up to tell them when religious/political or other posts they want closed/deleted by the social team.  Or when another poster reports a post.

And like you said there is a feedback link at bottom of this page.

I think it's perfectly ok for someone to post their feedback here. Whether or not Q pays attention is on them.

I truly doubt Q pays more attention if someone uses the feedback link. It's not the corporate way to care.

@Hopein24 , I think you're overstating the feedback QVC gets from here.  At any given time there are approx 1000 people, most of which don't post, just read.  That's a drop in the bucket to the 80 million homes they can be on via tv and millions more they reach on social media.

In addition, the overwhelming majority of posters here are female, most between age 50-90 and many are retired.   Those demographics are very narrow to be statistically relevant.   I will also point out here that there are numerous posters who aren't here for QVC or shopping s they proudly proclaim they don't shop here or haven't in many years.  Those opinions are irrelevant to them.

I also think rumors of QVCs demise are greatly exaggerated.  They will evolve into something different that many here won't like since there are many statements about "not doing social media".  The Q will be fine.

If one person says something on social media, good or bad, there are tens of thousands of others who say the same.

Q could learn a lot if they actually paid attention to feedback on these forums. But that's not the corporate way.

Q's financial status and stock have been in the toilet for a few years now. It's going to take a lot to turn it around. So far, what they've tried hasn't helped.

Many huge and smaller companies can't make it once their financial reports are so lousy.  I don't believe Q will be fine if they don't take action soon.

They need some new products desperately. Look at the Pom Pom London bags from the other day. Brand new and sold fast. Because it wasn't the same dozen vendors. Heck I even ordered one from the Pom Pom site and had it today. It took 3 days to get from London to Phoenix. If I ordered from QVC I'd still be waiting for it most likely. They need to revamp everything top to bottom. There are only so many computers, vacuums, lock and lock, temptations, D&C, Susan Graver, Kim Gravel pants and jackets a person can wear. Most of their clothing doesn't fit the lifestyle of the west. Polyester, scuba wear, doesn't work in 110 degree heat. They spend way to long on the TSV.  All day gardening shows, cooking, clothing just bore people and you lose a lot of the audience because they aren't interested in whatever the event of the day.

I agree.  Fyi, I always price check name brands. I've never found Q to be the least expensive.

Sears and BBB had enough time to look at how things were changing and did nothing to be competitive or catch up

I'm hoping this deal of joining the two shopping channels together (Q & HSN) will be a success.  But I don't get this wishing they would sell this or that when you have everything you could possibly want or need at your fingertips??   There are other websites to shop at especially for men.  D*cks Sporting Goods for one.

Focus groups are small but represent bigger numbers. So, this board is relevant. The demographic is where they want to be, so there is relevance there as well.

As for the people that do not shop but post being irrelevant. No, maybe they would shop if QVC tailored to their needs. They are also relevant.

Everything is relevant when it comes to sales and profit.

Just finished reading two other posts on these forums about QVC losing 15 million dollars in the third quarter and it was just before Christmas, I read where shares of the company were way, way down. I find it fascinating that the company seemingly does not read these forums, or take suggestions, ideas or thoughts about changes that might help them. I realize there  is a contact at the bottom of the page, but I think  most people will post here before they will do that. Things are discussed here, ( and sometimes hotly), about everything from annoying hosts, to poor shipping practices, offensive presentations/Hosts. A gentleman not long ago posted about QVC not carrying many men's items and that got pretty hotly discussed, but I agree with him. Are men the majority of viewers? I don't think so and yet for example at Christmas several of my family members said they would have ordered gifts for their husbands from QVC if they had presented anything. When you are holding on by your fingernails, why would you not try presenting some "Guy" things? And on a different note, how come QVC doesn't offer Outdoors items? The market for Outdoorsmen is enormous as more and more women are fishing, hiking and hunting. Kayaks, canoes, tents and camping gear, fishing gear, maybe a line of cabin decor and linens? There is so much that could be offered and yet it seems to be the same items for TSV over and over, the same shows hawking the same items. The powers that be at QVC evidently have decided to put all their eggs into one basket and that basket has been the "Over 50 and Fabulous" campaign. But reading these forums, I think it's safe to say that while there are some that like it, most do not. Now, they are turning their attention to Social Media and Podcasts, Influencers and that is all fine, but in doing so they are kissing the "Old guard" goodbye as most of the very elderly don't use those venues....and those are BUYING Customers. I have a hard time understanding that logic when the ship is listing badly and that is guaranteed money coming in. Change is good but sometimes a blending of new and old work best. Reinventing "New" shows with the same tired Host is not something that I would keep sinking money into. The same products, the same old phrases and the same Hosts only show that QVC Customers are savvy enough to see right through that. I hope they can figure it all out, but right now it sure looks iffy.

The QVC "old guard" is clearly not shopping much, clearly with a $15Mill loss. Q is following the money and that's consolidation with HSN and to be on line, and streaming.

I certainly do not know the statistics, but I would imagine Andrew Lessman's supplements, Perlier cosmetics with shows with Skip and Amanda, would be easily moved into QVC.  And, I imagine, having a good selling history for a long time, would be an asset to QVC.

I do not know if anyone has touched much on the issue of inflation.  Many people I know are more conscious of their spending.  I know that I have, out of my choice.  And already have way too much!
