Brandiwine, I called QVC to suggest Kathy Levine be brought in to run things and the operator was totally clueless. She didn't even know who Kathy Levine was!!  What kind of operation are they running over there? I find it hard to believe the workers were not given a training seminar on the history of QVC before starting on the job. I felt like I was brushed off, she said she would note my request but honestly I felt like she didn't even care.

I didn't know who Kathy Levine was until I started reading about her here. I've since read some of her FB posts though, she isn't coming back here.  I don't fault the CS person for not knowing who any former sales person is.

O/T I also reads on Kathy Levine's FB - someone asked her if her last name was tied to the naming of EVINE.  She said nope - they named that network Evine to stand for Electronic grapeVINE.

Thanks,  @TY.  I found another article that says Mr. George will stay in his present position.

I know this is naive of me to say,  but I wonder what all those highly-paid execs do all day? It certainly isn't reflected in what we see on the screen.  Same old boring stuff with all these people developing new RESOURCES. I can hardly wait to see THAT.

I have often wondered that myself. I wonder what skills or insight or leadership they have that demands such a high salary.

Have you seen "The Best of Everything "--1959? Publishing firm, typists and secretaries...The office vet tells new girl Hope Lange the ropes: people at our level do most of the real work. ..the big boss at the top has a lot of pressure cause it's all on him. But all these offices in the middle, they don't do much except take long lunches and drink martinis.

Not much different, structurally, 60 years later.....

@Kachina624,

Your sharp comment reminds me of Jeremy Irons in Margin Call when he said that " Maybe you could tell me what is going on. And please, speak as you might to a young child. Or a golden retriever. It wasn't brains that brought me here; I assure you that."

And the rest is history🌻

I heard Colleen Lopez mention QVC by name on air for the first time the other night.

She was selling herkimer quartz jewelry and talking about how if they were on the air in Japan, everything would be gone. She then mentioned "our sister station QVC" has a channel in Japan.

Re: QVC - yet another corporate restructure

I've noticed some changes at HSN recently....more repeat "packaged clip shows" in the early morning. I don't think Helen is doing 10 Faves anymore, but has an HSN2 show with Robin which reran on HSN the next day.. You need fewer hosts if you re-run programming from 2am to 6am....
