Who would know they sell appliances? Everything is always about little ticket items - jewelry, makeup, fashion - when they offer these big ticket items! Who started this?

they have been selling them for a long time....mostly they present them in the overnight hours....while I have bought a mattress set from the Q....and a T.V. I am not sure I would purchase a washer/dryer....refrigerator/stove....they are so bulky and would be difficult to return in the event of a problem....they are lovely pieces, though....

This is news to me. I cannot wrap my mind around this fact. Are they competing with Sears? How do they do they do a washer/dryer presentation? Does Marybeth stand before a washer waiting for it to finish?

How does this factor into their quarterly results? Does this up their results greatly?

HAHA....I am picturing MB standing at the dryer...HAHA....she would be perfect....however she doesn't do the overnights...

When I have seen the presentations they show the features....no laundry is being done....did they have any videos....I haven't looked recently...

I wonder if they sell very many...it would be helpful for those who can't get out to shop...and we all know the Q is great with returns...(no re-stocking fees)....

Well I sure feel dumb....I was just on the Q. Homepage and seen the whole page of appliances.....geez....I was wondering how you happened to mention them....

I see there are no videos...I wonder why....that is one thing I don't like when I go to other shopping sites and there is no video for their products....

If you say they have been selling appliances for a long time, they should make it a category under For The Home so others like myself would know about it. I do wonder about the s/h if you had a problem and do they offer warranties?

QVC sells thousands of items that never make it on air, but they are available through the website. They have been offering these for 15+ years, and the issue has been discussed on these boards numerous times.

Most items sold by QVC never make it on the air. There are simply too many items and too few hours in the day; therefore, the on-air items tend to be items that are either big sellers or have a high profit margin or both.

If you say many items they sell don't make it on air then it is almost like two stores. If makeup gets shown more often than a dishwasher, it tells me they are limiting their high impact tv time exposure to certain age groups so in essence they have a store within a store depending on your age.

KYToby....there are plenty of hours in the day....its Q who devotes too many hours on one product when it could be narrowed down....

Its amazing the number of products that are in their inventory....they could start pulling some of them out and call those hours...Limited Products....they could be quick sales...

Think of how much fun seeing the unseen inventory off and on during each day....

Think what fun it would be if there was no TSV...but one product each hour that was a OTO...like when the real TSV sells out....but there isn't a TSV....

There are so many ideas the Q. could do to liven up their programming and bring back people such as myself who doesn't tune in because of the redundancy....
