It must have something to due to tariffs. These costs are passed onto the consumer.

The price of winter clothing on "clearance" is a joke. Most retailers are reducing their prices by 50% or more to move winter merchandise. Q takes off $10. and calls it clearance. Then, if it doesn't fit it costs $10. to return. Not buying one piece of clothing from them, but I will buy from department stores and specialty shops who are really reducing the prices. Susan Graver prices are way too high. Her fashions are nice quality and fit me well, but the prices are too high for what you get.

I agree recent quality & pricing have kept me from the Q fashons. In the past year my only fashion purchases were 3 D&C french terry sweatshirts. I have also given up on Diamonique. The stones from years ago still have their sparkle. Returned the few items I purchased this year because they clouded up so quickly. The only item currently on my Q card is a JAI bracelet that did not even come in a JAI box. I have moved on to other retailers.

Eddie Bauer has down jackets on sale around the same price. I would trust them for down rather than D&C.

Exactly! We keep seeing retailers fall out who refuse to compete for business. The shopping channels will always have some customers who get caught up in the sales hype, but more and more are leaving because of comparison shopping. It's amazing how low of a price some retailers are willing to go to get the sale. And, on better quality on clothing than QVC offers. I still occasionally make a purchase, but I definitely do my research first. Shopping channels are so limited on what they offer too. I don't need most of it.

I think it depends on the product and I agree it's important to comparison shop. The First Aid Beauty TSV was a really great price. That was a true TSV. Even the non TSV price is an amazing value. But then there is the Life Is Good line of shirts. QVC has some for full price that are 50% off on the Life Is Good website. With the internet it is easier to research and compare. However there are some items exclusive to QVC like Isaac Mizrahi's Pima cotton that I love and can't get elsewhere. That being said I think those prices are reasonable for what you get. I also have luck with "as is". But I have been surprised at prices for some lines of clothing and agree there have been huge increases even with the tariffs.

We shop alike! I got the First Aid Beauty TSV as I do every year, what a bargain this year! That stuff is amazing and my adult daughters and family love it too so it makes a great gift. I also love the Isaac pima shirts; have them in almost every color and style. It is the only clothing item on Q that I buy other than Susan Graver pants when they are on a special price. And I bought Life is Good Shirts from their own website where they were much cheaper and a larger selection.
I think some "older" viewers of Q probably don't comparison shop and just buy what they see on impulse. That viewing audience is dwindling and the "younger" generation comparison shop online.

When I went to the mall and saw the cost of one small jar of the first aid beauty I was shocked and then really glad I opted for auto delivery. What a great product that really works. That is funny we shop the same items. Its easier when you know what you like and what works for oneself. I hope you have a wonderful 2020.

I no longer buy from any shopping channel unless the item is on a good sale and there is free s/h plus, that i know i will not have to return! I think on things far longer before I order now!
