We don't all need cable, a dish, or even Wi-Fi to watch QVC. It's one of my many over the air channels.

Re: QVC all streaming in the future?

I got a survey from QVC and I consented to fill it out.  When it ask how much of my TV viewing was streaming and I answered none, I did not qualify for the survey.

So Im guessing they are contemplating streaming in the near future.

Re: QVC all streaming in the future?

QVC Plus is the streaming channel and it has tons of "extra content" or episodes of the popular programs you might have missed.  I just checked the platform from my laptop and I am quite surprised to see so much variety. This might be the future for the network.   I think that the main channel might go the way of less live programming because the viewer won't know if the show is taped or indeed live.  This might be why the names of the hosts were removed from the program guide for the live shows.

Re: QVC all streaming in the future?

I guess this will be like everything else going on these days.  They force you eventually to do all these things that you don't really want to do.  I doubt seriously that "streaming" would make me any happier and that I would find any more and exciting things to watch than I already have and probably end up having to spend way more money!  I get that everybody is all into --- we must move forward -- blah, blah, blah.  So, why can't it be that those that want to - can -- have streaming and all of these other things, and the rest of us can have what we want as well?  I don't mind change but I just want to have a choice in things!!!!

@Reever

David is not pushing management to do anything.  David and all of the other hosts are merely on-air employees. They do what they're told, and go home.

Corporate strategy decisions are made by senior management -- and shareholders.

Streaming is the present and the future.  I haven't had cable TV for at least 8 years.  All new TVs have streaming channels built right in them.  All of those electronic powerhouses would not invest in changing their products that way unless it was deemed necessary.  It's not a gimmick, it's every day, normal way to watch, shop, and learn.

Not all streaming channels have a fee.  Some are absolutely free, like QVC/HSN.

My next TV, which I plan on buying next year, will have all the major streaming channels already built in -- I will finally be able to get rid of my Roku.

If a business is not selling by some sort of streaming, they will not survive.  It's as simple as that.

Re: QVC all streaming in the future?

If you ever watched a Facebook video, TikTok, or YouTube video, you've streamed. If you've watched the short video accompanying a QVC item online, you've streamed. That's all it is.

Instead of clicking a channel on your tv with the remote provided by a cable or satellite company, you'll click the QVC channel of your choice provided by your internet service. No cable or satellite necessary.

You can do it now by going to YouTube or to the QVC home page itself and click Watch Live. Voila, you're streaming. Unless your tv set is ancient, you already have the ability to do it in your own home right now. It's not as scary or life changing as some of you think it is. Only a different spot on your tv to click.

I'm a senior and love streaming and technology.  Ditched cable a few years ago. Much cheaper and more to watch. Would not go back. We have friends in their late 70's who also love their technology. They have smart phones, the newest Mac computer, they stream, they use the technology in their car, always on their iPads. So I would say a lot of seniors love technology.

Streaming is a way to get content. You can either have a Roku device, fire stick or a smart tv. You have apps that you access (Hulu, Disney, Apple TV etc) that you pay for and watch whatever they have to watch which is enormous. Much better than cable and if you don't subscribe to every app known to man it's much cheaper. I love and am comfortable with technology (yes I'm considered a senior but that doesn't stop me from getting the latest and greatest) we ditched our land line years ago and have smart phones.

@Reever ....What does David have to do with QVC streaming?  David is an employee, not corporate.
