I always ship on my own, it's cheaper, unless the item you are returning is heavy. Not worth the self addresed label costs.

They don't announce in in advance because a lot of people might hold off on purchasing until that day.

I have NOT found that to be true at all for quite a while!

 

I returned a tiny bralette on my own a while back figuring it HAD to be cheaper than $6.95.

It was over $7.50 !!!

 

USPS rates (as well as UPS) were increasing even before Covid.
