Here’s one of the many examples of why QVC is in trouble.  On 11/10 I placed an order for multiple clothing items.  This am (11/14), my order was at my door.  Items for my two GC, and a new winter robe for me!  My usual good experience from Macy’s.

I don't think they are in trouble, I just think they have so many orders that they are having difficulty filling them all in a timely fashion. If they have melt downs online when they offer Free S&H you can only imagine. The thing IMO that the Q has going for them is that long time customers trust the Q to make things right when they don't go right. I'm always emailing them lately about returns, especially when the items are expensive that I am returning. I just got an email this morning that the items I returned Monday last week are in their posession and I got my refund. It took nine days.

Read the 3rd quarter report and in particular the press conference transcript. I posted in Q Talk....I think they are in some trouble.....and I think the acquistion of HSN by their parent company combing QVC/HSN into Qurate are one reason, and Zulilly is doing TERRIBLE, and all these shipping issues as they supposedly transition and complete their new warehouse....and then there's stale merchandise, stale programming, and rerun of pre-recorded shows.....

I placed orders for Barefoot Dreams items, one was supposed to be delivered today, one tomorrow and the last two on Saturday, none have even shipped yet. Calling cs gets you no place, they just keep saying there is nothing we can do, there's something I can do.....shop elsewhere from now on. I have received items that clearly have been used and items that are defective, what happened to quality?????

There seems to be an assumption by some that once the new facility is up and running everything will be copacetic.

However, there is no evidence that this management and this company will be able to  effectively run a large, modern, technologically efficient facility.

In fact, things could get even worse.

I placed an order on 11/6, and the products remain in process. I called about this, and was told you may not receive your order by the EDD date. This is for a Philosophy product that was offered as a One Time Only.

No other explanation given.

Re: QVC TROUBLE

[ Edited ]

Took me 2 days to get someone at QVC to fix their system so it would take my CC. No one is there to help besides customer service & they have ZERO  power.  You can't speak with supervisor, they have to send an email to "them" and in 2 DAYS you will get a response?!!!! 2 DAYS!! What world does QVC live in? They can't keep on with all the issues they have and compete in the market. I seldom ever purchase.

Finally, I contacted QVC Social Media team, via email, and asked who can help me place an order? They sent an email saying finance will call me. Which they immediately did and fixed the issue!! But 2 days to fix this problem? Again, what world is QVC in?

I think shopping channels ran their course years ago.  I flip to the channel every so often during the late evening out of habit, but seldom see anything of interest.  Even when I do see something, I comparison shop and can usually find a better deal elsewhere.  I definitely purchase from QVC or HSN if they truly have a good deal, but I'm not having the shipping issues some of you are referring to here.  If that starts happening, I'm totally done.

I think QVC needs a massive shake up.  They are no where near as interesting as they once were.  At this time of year they can just rerun last years Christmas shows because it's all that stuff you put in the loo, gift bags and same old stuff.  Their clothing prices are no longer competitive, I can't believe anyone with a brain pays the food prices, the shoes are old lady ugly and for me this year has been all about Valerie Parr Hill. She's the only reason I shop QVC now.  Let;s have a lot more new items, better pricing, faster shipping and a whole fresh approach to programming.

@twoflaglady   I don't think any of us will live long enough to see major changes. Unfortunately, QVC will be long gone by then, too.

@Shanus If things don't change QVC will be gone before me.  I would be sad to see it end, and I mainly watch around Christmas to get ideas.  A Mattress is not an idea for anyone IMO.   I would never purchase a mattress in a box with no box spring.  It is important to have a good mattress especially as we age.  You need to go to a store and lay on the different ones to see what works for you best.
