This situation could affect your credit score, and sadly, is your responsibility to contact all three and have this removed from your record if the bank reported it which most do. One late payment (even not your fault) is an issue. (Credit report co's are: Experian, TransUnion, Equifax)

So sad, the Q has caused this dilemma while you were in ill health. Hope all turns out well.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand.

Are you saying that QVC had not received your return, so, it appeared on the next month's bill and that generated a finance charge? If there was no balance on your account, I'm assuming the finance charge for the lip glosses was minimal?

I also don't understand, why, when you got your bill, you deducted t he s&h charges; QVC is insured for that? Are we talking about your original shipping, which is refunded, or the return shipping fees, which are not, unless the item was defective, wrong item, etc. In any case, the bank is going to expect you to pay the amount that they show owing, and if you don't it's going to carry over. Did this carry over amount generate the finance charge?

To protect your credit, the best bet (it's the point of the matter, aside), is to pay the bill, then resolve the problem with the merchant.

The bank refusing to refund your late fee, has nothing to do with QVC. If your payment truly was not late, how they could they refuse to refund it, if they made a mistake and your payment was on time? The vast majority of banks will refund a fee like this, at least once, if you have an excellent record with them. Saying they reviewed your account and declined to do so, makes it sound like they see past problems, definitely something you should be sorting out with the bank, not QVC. this is your credit.

If you refused to pay the bill or part of it, because you felt you didn't owe it, QVC should have gotten that off your bill, and that part did become late, then, annoying as it is, the bank has a right to charge the fee, and can take a hard nosed stand about refunding it if they want to. Unfair, but, then, who ever said banks are fair.

If there was an unreasonable delay in QVC getting the refund processed, so it could be posted to your account, maybe they would be willing to refund you for the late fee.

It does sound like, most of this issue, you should be dealing with the bank and not QVC's CS, they don't have anything to do with the credit card company's billing practices.

Did your item arrive at QVC? I'm guessing you insured it, so, it should be able to be tracked.

Good Luck!

My purchased from Amazon have remained about the same, bought a couple, more items from E Bay, bur so far have stayed out of the brick and mortar stores. Fortunate since I am going to law school.
Maybe your current purchasing sites have forums you would like. Since you are unhappy here you might just like something different.

I am sorry you are having issues, and I agree with the earlier poster about calling again.

I would suggest, though, when calling for assistance with an issue, to be courteous and cordial. Do not be accusatory, do not tell the how they have gone downhill (in your opinion), or how much you spend with them. In many cases, having an attitude when calling in only hurts the customer in the end.

I worked in call center operations for years, and in my experience, the nicer and friendlier the customer, the more helpful the customer service rep. (Please note: I am not accusing the OP of anything here -- my suggestions are just general tips.)

Another option would be a nicely worded letter to QVC corporate.

I think your "tip" is faulty and misguiding. It's the CS rep's responsibility to be friendly and calm the irate customer, and it's her job to be helpful. Wow, your training was backwards.

Really - how would you like someone else inviting you to go elsewhere? Fine, I guess, if you OWN the board.
