I've spent thousands of dollars on QVC over the years and have been satisfied with most products. I usually read all the reviews before purchasing, unless it's a brand new item. Lately, I've been noticing some strange things with the reviews. For example, I purchased the Palovia laser in July when they were offering Flex Pay. I was having some issues with using the device and checked back frequently to read reviews to see if anyone else was having similar issues. The last review was on 7/13 from someone who had used it for the full 90 days and returned. It was a bad review. I wrote one, asking why no one was reviewing, when they supposedly sold thousands on the night I bought mine.

That review was never posted, but I got a semi-nasty note from the moderator. A few days later someone posted a 5 star review. That reviewer had reviewed only 2 other items in the past.

A week later I submitted another negative review. That one was posted. 2 Days later another 5 star review appeared singing the praises of the device. That reviewer had only one other review (another 5-Star) on another laser product.

That started me wondering and I began to see a pattern. It seemed anytime a bad review was posted, a few days later a 5-star one would appear.

Just wondering if anyone else has any knowledge, or noticed anything like this. I know fake reviews have become a big thing for products on other sites. Amost any google search on a product will turn up pages and pages of sites with fake reviews. There's automated software that produces these fake reviews for companies.

If QVC reviews are fake, then it's probably not QVC doing it, but the manufacturers of the products who are.
